    Abstract: In some aspects, a UE may select a first type of antenna for communication with a base station based at least in part on a beam management procedure that uses an RSRP parameter determined using a downlink reference signal associated with a single antenna port; measure a CSI-RS resource for CSF, associated with multiple antenna ports, using a second type of antenna and after selecting the first type of antenna; compare a first spectral efficiency parameter associated with communicating using the first type of antenna and a second spectral efficiency parameter determined based at least in part on measuring the CSI-RS resource for CSF using the second type of antenna; and select one of the first type of antenna or the second type of antenna for subsequent communication with the base station based at least in part on comparing the first spectral efficiency parameter and the second spectral efficiency parameter.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitter wireless communication device may identify one or more resources, in a plurality of resources of a communication channel, for which a channel characteristic fails to satisfy a threshold. The transmitter wireless communication device may interleave a plurality of coded bits to form a plurality of interleaved coded bits, the plurality of coded bits including a set of systematic bits and a set of parity bits, wherein the plurality of coded bits is interleaved such that a first subset of parity bits from the set of parity bits is mapped to the one or more resources for which the channel characteristic fails to satisfy the threshold.     Abstract: A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) and related apparatus are provided. In the method, the UE obtains the channel information including at least one of a set of mutual information for each layer of a first number of layers associated with a channel between the UE and a network entity, or rank reduction information for a rank reduction of the channel. The UE further transmit the channel information to the network entity for the identification of a precoding scheme for communication between the UE and the network entity; and communicates with the network entity, based on the channel information and the precoding scheme.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses that support rateless polar codes are used to provide for retransmissions in cases that a codeword is encoded using a rateless polar code. For example, a first wireless device may transmit, to a second wireless device, a codeword corresponding to a set of information bits encoded using a rateless polar code. In cases where the first wireless device identifies that the second wireless device failed to decode one or more of the information bits, the first wireless device may select a subset of the encoder input bits for retransmission based on an order of a likelihood of error associated with a set of bit-channels used for encoding the set of information bits using the polar code. The number of retransmitted encoder input bits may be based further on a gap to capacity calculated by the first wireless device and/or the second wireless device.
