    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may support two or more uplink switching periods for transmit chain switching. The UE may transmit a UE capability message indicating the UE capability to support a first uplink switching period and a second uplink switching period for transmit chain switching. The first uplink switching period and the second uplink switching period may each correspond to different switching periods associated with configuration switches between different transmit chain configurations of the UE. The UE and a base station may select an uplink switching period from among the first uplink switching period and the second uplink switching period. The UE may transmit an uplink data message to the base station after a preparation time that is based on the uplink switching period.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to power headroom reporting for carriers unconfigured for uplink communication are described. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network entity, a power headroom report (PHR) including first power headroom information for a configured carrier configured for uplink communication and second power headroom information for at least one unconfigured carrier that is unconfigured for uplink communication. The UE may further receive, from the network entity, a message indicating a selected carrier comprising one of the configured carrier and the at least one unconfigured carrier in response to the PHR, and may transmit, to the network entity, an uplink transmission via the selected carrier. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide techniques and apparatuses for improving reception of concurrent transmissions from different network entities. A user equipment may receive a first instance of a transmission in a first component carrier from a first network entity and also receive a second instance of the transmission in a second component carrier from a second network entity. The UE may then dynamically adjust a number of receivers used for the reception of the first component carrier and the reception of the second component carrier based on whether a receive time difference, between receipt of the first instance of the transmission and receipt of the second instance of the transmission, exceeds a maximum receive time difference (e.g., a cyclic prefix duration of the transmission).
