Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Described techniques provide for dynamic configuration of feedback, repetition, and/or modulation and coding scheme(s) for transmissions within an application data unit (ADU). A user equipment (UE) and a network entity may communicate control signaling indicating transmission configurations for a set of multiple time domain durations within an ADU and a start of a first time domain duration. The transmission configurations may indicate a number of repetitions for each transmission. In some cases, the network entity may transmit control signaling that separately configures a number of repetitions for each feedback process of a set of multiple feedback processes associated with an ADU and indicates whether repetition is enabled for each feedback process and a redundancy version identifier sequence for repetitions for each feedback process. The UE and the network entity may communicate transmissions within the ADU in accordance with the control signaling.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support allocation of resources for a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) for reduced bandwidth devices. In a first aspect, a method includes monitoring, by a user equipment (UE) configured for reduced bandwidth operation, at least a subset of a first set of time and frequency resources allocated to a synchronization signal block (SSB) for UEs configured for non-reduced bandwidth operation. The SSB includes synchronization signals and a PBCH. The method includes monitoring, by the UE, a second set of time and frequency resources allocated to the PBCH for UEs configured for reduced bandwidth operation. The method includes receiving, by the UE, the synchronization signals and the PBCH within at least the subset of the first set of time and frequency resources and the second set of time and frequency resources. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support reduced bandwidth devices and particularly, allocation of more than three orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols in the time domain to a control resource set (CORESET). In a first aspect, a method for wireless communication includes receiving, from a base station at a user equipment (UE), a first message that indicates a CORESET configuration. The CORESET configuration allocates more than three OFDM symbols in the time domain to a CORESET. The method further includes monitoring a set of time and frequency resources to receive a second message from the base station at the UE. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit multiple repetitions of a paging early indication (PEI) signal to a user equipment (UE) to indicate that the UE is to receive paging signaling in a paging occasion. In some cases, a PEI occasion for transmitting a PEI repetition may have a scheduling conflict. For example, a PEI occasion may collide with other downlink signaling. A UE may implement techniques to resolve scheduling conflicts or collisions for PEI repetitions. For example, the UE may be configured to receive either colliding PEI signaling or colliding downlink signaling based on priorities of the signaling. Additionally, or alternatively, PEI signaling may be shifted (e.g., delayed) until after the downlink signaling ends. In some cases, a UE may be configured with a subset of blind decoding hypotheses for PEI decoding.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first system information message including an indication of a resource configuration for a control resource set (CORESET) from a base station. The CORESET may include a common search space for a downlink control information (DCI) message that schedules a second system information message. The UE may identify a set of parameters from multiple sets of parameters for the CORESET based on the indication received in the first system information message and the UE being a first type of UE. The set of parameters may be different from a second set of parameters for the CORESET associated with a second type of UE different from the first type of UE. The UE may receive, in the CORESET according to the identified set of parameters, the DCI message scheduling the second system information message.

A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may transmit capability information including an indication of a discontinuous monitoring delay period. The UE may receive a message including an indication to adjust monitoring of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), and monitor for the PDCCH during the discontinuous monitoring delay period. The UE may adjust monitoring for the PDCCH following the discontinuous monitoring delay period during a temporal period based on the received indication to adjust monitoring of the PDCCH. In some examples, at least one of physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) reception, downlink reference signal monitoring, uplink reference signal transmissions, and channel reporting is enabled during the temporal period while monitoring of the PDCCH is adjusted.

The UE may receive one or more instances of the first synchronization signal according to the transmission pattern for the first synchronization signal. The UE may modify the established connection with the base station based at least in part on the received one or more instances of the first synchronization signal.
