Abstract: Techniques for co-existence on a shared communication medium are disclosed. An activation command may be received, over a backhaul connection and via a first Radio Access Technology (RAT), configuring the first RAT for active operation on a shared communication medium. An activity indicator may be generated based on the active operation of the first RAT. Based on the activity indicator, one or more measurements scheduled to be performed on the communication medium in accordance with a second RAT and a corresponding wakeup schedule may be disabled. Access of a first RAT to a shared communication medium may also be monitored. A priority indicator for the first RAT may be generated based on the monitored access. Based on the priority indicator, release of a backhaul connection on the communication medium that is associated with a second RAT may be coordinated.

Abstract: A method for performing a dedicated data subscription (DDS) switch on a multi subscriber identity module multi-active (MSMA) mobile communication device includes: initiating a DDS switch from a first subscription to a second subscription; determining whether a first communication network associated with the first subscription supports user equipment (UE) capability update via a tracking area update (TAU) procedure; in response to determining that the first communication network supports UE capability update via a TAU procedure, initiating a TAU procedure on the first subscription with the first communication network; and reporting a UE category 1 capability to the first communication network on the first subscription for the mobile communication device during the TAU procedure on the first subscription.

Abstract: Some embodiments include a method for processing wireless wide area network paging messages. The method may include receiving, in a fixed device over a wireless local area network (WLAN) interface, a request to monitor wireless wide area network (WWAN) paging messages for a mobile device. The method may include receiving, by the fixed device via a WWAN interface, a WWAN paging message of the WWAN paging messages. The method may also include forwarding, by the fixed device via the WLAN interface, the paging message to the mobile device.
