摘要： A flow directing device is provided for a fluid filled seal chamber for a centrifugal fluid pump, wherein the pump includes a seal chamber housing, a rotary shaft extending through the housing, an impeller mounted on one end of the shaft, and a rotary seal mounted about the shaft. The rotary shaft and housing define the seal chamber opening toward the impeller. A plurality of angled vanes radially depend about a circumferential portion of the seal chamber to direct the flow of fluid in the seal chamber along the rotary shaft to remove suspended solids from the rotary seal when the vanes extend in one direction, and to remove vapor bubbles from adjacent the rotary seal when the vanes extend in another direction and are coupled with a bulkhead flange.

摘要： The invention provides a hitch intended especially as a bumper hitch for automobiles and employing a pair of adjustable-length chains to connect the hitch to the bumper. The two chains are connected to the arms of a centrally-pivoted, two-armed lever and the lever pivot is moved backwards by a cam to tighten them simultaneously, with the lever pivoting to take up inequalities. The cam pivots about the lever pivot and engages a reaction member to produce the tightening movement, the cam having a "dead" position on tightening so that it will not move voluntarily out of that position. The hitches can be used in pairs on a transverse trailer-ball carrying bar which extends through the hitch bodies and also constitutes the reaction member for each hitch cam. The hitches are retained on the bar and slide freely thereon until the cam is moved to the tightened position, when it also locks the respective hitch in transverse position on the bar by its reaction engagement with the bar. The hitch body also has lugs to receive an automobile towing A-frame.

摘要： The present invention relates to flow control devices (4) for use with cartridge filter cleaning systems. The flow control device (4) includes a cylindrical portion (8) which extends away from a conical portion (6). When the device (4) is used with a nozzle (9) attached to a blow tube (13) the device (4) will uniformly clean a dirty cartridge filter (5). The advantage of the invention is that the device (4) can be used in the current range of air flow rates and nozzle sizes that are used in the cartridge cleaning industry. Whereas the prior art systems (7) show deficient performance when used across the full range of air flow rates currently applicable in industry.

摘要： A cat litter box having a side wall defining an interior and a bottom surface within the interior formed from a main door and multiple secondary doors which form on opening. Each door includes a slat connected below the slatted edge on an underside thereof traveling most of a length of the slatted edge, and the doors are hingedly attached to the side wall of the housing. Provided is a means for manipulating the main door upwards and downwards such that the main free edge can be pushed against the slat of an adjacent one of the secondary doors to provide a downward force against each the secondary door to reveal the opening. In this manner, any contained soiled litter can periodically be dumped and the contents removed, resulting in an easy-to-use, sanitary cat litter box system.

摘要： A videoconferencing station is disclosed which includes apparatus for establishing a wireless Personal Area Network (PAN) in the immediate vicinity of the videoconferencing station. In one preferred embodiment, the PAN is a Bluetooth piconet. A Bluetooth-enabled cellular telephone may then be used to make an audio connection via the telephone network to a remote user not in a conference room equipped with a videoconferencing station. The remote user may thereby participate in at least the audio portion of the videoconference. Video portions of the conference may similarly be transmitted if video-enabled phones are used.
