    摘要: Instruments and methods are provided for re-positioning and extracting spinal implants in a space between vertebrae. The instruments can include rotater instruments, hook instruments, and extractor instruments engageable to the implant. The extractor instruments can include a shaft assembly, an actuator assembly at a proximal end of said shaft assembly, and an engaging assembly at a distal end of the shaft assembly. The engaging assembly includes a support member fixedly coupled with and extending distally from the shaft assembly and a clamping member coupled with at least one of the shaft assembly and the support member. The actuator assembly is operably linked to the clamping member with the shaft assembly to move the clamping member toward the support member with the actuator assembly.

    摘要: Spinous process implants that may include a first plate sized to extend along a first lateral side of the spinous processes and a second plate sized to extend along a second lateral side of the spinous processes. The second plate may include a bore that extends through the second plate. An elongated post may extend through the bore with a first end attached to the first plate and a second end positioned outward beyond the outer surface of the second plate away from the first plate. A joint may be positioned along the post that attaches a first section of the post to a second section of the post. The joint may be constructed to align the first and second sections in a collinear orientation and to remove the second section from the first section. Additional joints may also be positioned along the post. The bore may be sized relative to the post for the second plate to be movable along a length of the post.

    摘要: Surgical techniques and instruments are provided for performing surgical procedures in a disc space. The instrument includes a sleeve having a distal end and an opposite proximal end and a working channel extending therebetween. The working channel includes a first portion and an adjacent second portion configured to receive surgical instruments therethrough. A cap member is secured to the sleeve at the proximal end. The cap member has a sealable access port substantially aligned with a corresponding one of the first or second portions. The cap member is movable with respect to the sleeve to substantially align the access port with the other of the first and second portions while the working channel remains sealed. Various techniques using various surgical instruments in laparoscopic procedures are also disclosed.
