    Abstract: A display device includes a lower substrate, a sub-pixel structure, an optical filter layer, a color filter layer, an upper substrate, and an alignment structure. The lower substrate has a display area and a peripheral area surrounding the display area. The sub-pixel structure is disposed in the display area on the lower substrate. The optical filter layer is disposed on the sub-pixel structure. The color filter layer is disposed on the optical filter layer. The upper substrate is disposed on the color filter layer. The alignment structure is disposed in the peripheral area on a bottom surface of the upper substrate, and contains a material equal to a material forming the optical filter layer and the color filter layer.

    Abstract: A display panel includes a first substrate which includes a display device and a second substrate which is disposed on the first substrate. The second substrate covers a base layer, a color filter layer, a first sealing layer, a color control layer, a step compensating layer, and a second sealing layer.     Abstract: A display panel includes an upper substrate to which external light is incident, a sealing member which is in a non-display area and couples the upper substrate to a lower display substrate. The upper display substrate includes: a base substrate; a light shielding layer and filter layer each corresponding to the non-display area and absorbing a portion of external light which is transmitted through the base substrate at the non-display area, the filter layer and the light shielding layer having different colors from each other.     Abstract: Provided is a display device, including a substrate including pixel areas which are disposed in a matrix form including pixel rows and pixel columns, a thin film transistor formed on the substrate, a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor, a common electrode formed on the pixel electrode to be spaced apart from the pixel electrode with a microcavity therebetween, a liquid crystal layer filling the microcavity between the pixel electrode and the common electrode, a roof layer formed on the common electrode, a liquid crystal injection hole formed in the common electrode and the roof layer to expose a part of the microcavity, and an overcoat formed on the roof layer so as to cover the liquid crystal injection hole to seal the microcavity. A cross section of the microcavity has a reverse-tapered trapezoidal shape in which an upper width is larger than a lower width.
