Abstract: Disclosed is a method performed by a terminal, including receiving a first radio resource control (RRC) connection release message for transitioning into an RRC inactive state, the first RRC connection release message including a resume identity and a next hop chaining count, in case that uplink data occurs in the RRC inactive state, transmitting, to a base station, a random access preamble, receiving, from the base station, a random access response including timing alignment information and an uplink grant, transmitting, to the base station, the uplink data with an RRC connection resume request message including the resume identity, and receiving, from the base station, a second RRC connection release message as a response to the RRC connection resume request message.

Abstract: A method of UE includes receiving a radio resource control (RRC) message for configuring bandwidth parts (BWPs) of a serving cell, receiving a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) indicating activation of a first BWP, performing a BWP switching to the first BWP indicated by the PDCCH, and starting a first downlink BWP timer associated with the first BWP. A UE includes a transceiver, and at least one controller coupled with the transceiver, the at least one controller configured to receive an RRC message for configuring BWPs of a serving cell, receive a PDCCH indicating activation of a first BWP, perform a BWP switching to the first BWP indicated by the PDCCH, and start a first downlink BWP timer associated with the first BWP.

Abstract: According to the present invention, a method by which a terminal transmits a buffer status report (BSR) in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: receiving, from a base station, a message including information for a BSR request; triggering the BSR on the basis of the information; and transmitting the BSR to the base station. The triggered BSR is a periodic BSR, and the triggering step causes a timer for the periodic BSR to expire. The information for a BSR request is indicated by a polling field included in a medium access control (MAC) sub-head.
