    Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems for prioritizing cell selection for availing LADN services. A UE prioritizes cells for selection based on availability of LADN services in the cells. For handover, a base station of a cell, providing LADN services to the UE, prioritizes target cells that provide LADN services that are being currently availed by the UE for ensuring LADN service continuity. The base station initiates addition of secondary cells that provide additional LADN services that are intended by the UE. The UE can predict if a paging message is relevant to a LADN service and send serving requests to the serving cell or other cells to avail the LADN service. The UE detects relay UEs providing LADN services and prioritizes the relay UEs for selection based on availability of LADN services. The UE buffers data if the UE is located at an edge of a LADN service area.

    Abstract: A method and system in the User Equipment (UE) for maintaining rejected network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) for Single Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (S-NSSAI) not available due to maximum number of UEs reached per access type. The method comprises receiving a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) message including at least one of a registration accept, registration reject or CONFIGURATION UPDATE COMMAND message along with at least one of rejected Single Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (S-NSSAI(s)) information and a cause for the S-NSSAI not available due to maximum number of UEs reached from a network. Thereafter, the method includes determining by the UE an access type on which the rejected S-NSSAI(s) is applicable based on the received S-NSSAI(s) information and then maintaining a storage of the rejected NSSAI for the S-NSSAI not available due to the maximum number of the UEs reached per access type based on the determination.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. Methods and systems for managing bearer configuration of user equipment (UE) with Evolved-Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network-New Radio-Dual Connectivity (E-UTRAN-NR-DC) (EN-DC) capability. The UE detects connectivity issues in the UE itself and in interfaces connecting between a NR network with the UE, a LTE network, or an EPC that require disabling NR capability of the UE. The bearer configuration is determined and updated based on the detected connectivity issues. The UE signals the LTE network about the disabling of NR capability, requests enabling of data transfer through bearers of a MCG bearers associated with the LTE network in a current MCG RRC session, and prevents addition of SCG bearers associated with the NR network. The UE recovers data in the SCG bearers, lost due the issues in the NR network, through the MCG bearers. The UE can send a Tracking Area Update (TAU) to indicate the disabling of NR capability if the connectivity issues persist.
