Abstract: A method of optimizing connection mode procedures for a dual subscriber identity module (SIM) mobile communication device is provided. The method includes receiving, by a base station, a paging message for a first SIM in an idle mode from a core network; determining, by the base station, if a radio resource control (RRC) connection linked with the first SIM is available or not; triggering, by the base station, a second paging type message for the first SIM with a normal cause through the RRC connection linked with the first SIM if the RRC connection of the first SIM is available; determining, by the base station, if a RRC connection linked with a second SIM is available or not if the RRC connection of the first SIM is not available; triggering, by the base station, a second paging type message for the first SIM with a mapped new cause through the RRC connection linked with the second SIM if the second SIM is available; and triggering, by the base station, a first paging type message with a temporary identity and a cause received in the paging message from the core network through a paging channel if the RRC connection linked with the second SIM is not available.

Abstract: A method to transmit paging messages to Machine Type Communication (MTC) devices in wireless communication is provided. The method includes establishing, by a first cluster head, a dedicated radio connection with at least one base station. The method also includes receiving a request from a plurality of MTC devices to transmit a signaling message. The signaling message includes a tracking area update (TAU) and paging information associated with the plurality of MTC devices. The method further includes storing information of the plurality of MTC devices associated with the first cluster head and base station corresponding to each of the MTC devices. The method includes fetching, by a Mobility Management Entity (MME), information of the base station associated with a serving MTC device based on receiving a data request from the at least one MTC device and transmitting the paging information to the base station associated with the serving MTC device.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided for receiving resource allocation information by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. Channel state information (CSI) is transmitted to a first base station. The resource allocation information indicating resources for a first zone to the UE is received from the first base station, when the UE enters the first zone among a plurality of zones within a cell coverage of the first base station. Additional resource allocation information indicating additional resources for a second zone are received from a second base station, if it is estimated that the UE might enter the second zone among the plurality of zones based on a status of the second zone and a moving direction of the UE. The additional resources are received in response to a message, transmitted from the first base station, to the second base station, requesting the additional resources.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method for handling communication with a wireless network by a user equipment (UE). The method includes determining that a data inactivity timer has expired during a PS/CS call recovery procedure with a network. The method identifies whether data inactivity that caused the data inactivity timer to expire is due to a radio link failure with the network. A radio link is recovered through the recovery procedure for resuming the PS/CS call with the network, in response to identifying that the data inactivity was due to the radio link failure.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method and system for managing session across multiple electronic devices in a network system. Further, the method includes sending a response message to the source electronic device which includes a confirmation for the context transfer to. Further, the method includes receiving a Carry Your Own Context (CYOC) container associated with the at least one ongoing session from the source electronic device, wherein the CYOC container consists of cellular parameter information required for seamless session transfer from the source electronic device to the target electronic device. Furthermore, the method includes completing the at least one session transfer using the cellular parameter information received in the CYOC container.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods to avoid contact/identity disclosure when using a multiple subscriber identity module (multi-SIM) wireless electronic device are described. According to one method, if a call to a first party in a first SIM cannot be established using the first SIM, the call is established using a second SIM, but without the device displaying identity/contact information of the first SIM. According to the embodiment, the calling line identification restriction (CLIR) supplementary service may be used, a user-to-user signalling (UUS) service may be invoked, and/or the user may decide to share selected identity/contact information associated with the first SIM while withholding the rest from the device.
