Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for operating a Mobile Station (MS). A service flow is established with a Base Station (BS). Data is transmitted through the service flow to the BS at an access admission time. A first group control signal indicating a data communication interruption for the service flow is received from the BS at an access restriction time. Transmission of the data to the BS is ceased together with the ceasing of a data transmission from another MS of a group according to the first group control signal.

A method and apparatus for simultaneously communicating on at least two carrier frequencies, of which at least one carrier frequency is a licensed band and at least one carrier frequency is an unlicensed band, includes broadcasting an operating status of the unlicensed band to a receiver device, collecting feedback data regarding channel conditions from the receiver device for both the licensed band and unlicensed band, determining, when a bandwidth request is received from the receiver device, whether to use the unlicensed band based on the channel conditions, transmitting an unlicensed band scheduling indication to the receiver device, and communicating with the receiver device using both the licensed band and the unlicensed band according to the transmitted unlicensed band scheduling indication.
Abstract:
A method for reducing power consumption of a macro Base Station (BS) in a radio communication system is provided. The method includes transmitting a preamble through at least one mini BS installed within a service coverage area of the macro BS, and transmitting a power-off command to the at least one mini BS after being switched into a power-on state, upon reception of access request information through the at least one mini BS from a terminal that received the preamble.

A method for scheduling data by a new master Base Station (BS) in a cloud cell communication system is provided. The method includes detecting that a master BS for a specific Mobile Station (MS) is changed from an old master BS to a new master BS, before a tunnel which is established between the new master BS and an access gateway is activated, receiving MS data which the old master BS receives through the tunnel which is established between the old master BS and the access gateway and buffers from the old master BS, and scheduling the received MS data.

A base station, a wireless terminal and a communication method of a wireless communication system are provided. The base station includes a receiver for receiving a signal from a wireless terminal or another base station, a transmitter for transmitting a signal to the wireless terminal or the another base station, and a controller for generating resource scheduling or control information for communication of the wireless terminal in a cell including at least two base stations included in a moving path of the wireless terminal and for transmitting the generated resource scheduling or control information to the wireless terminal and at least one of the base stations included in the cell.

The MS includes, generating a message for requesting to generate a service flow, the message comprising mobility management information of the service flow, and transmitting the message comprising the mobility management information. The mobility management information is used to determine whether the service flow requires an anchor.

An apparatus and a method for performing a point-to-multi point communication in a communication system are provided. The apparatus includes a base station configured to receive and transmit at least one of data on a mobile station, control information of the mobile station, schedule information on the mobile station, and control information on a communication link with at least one base station with respect to at least one base station in which a communication link is not set up through a core network. The base station services at least one mobile station at the same time together with a base station in which a communication link is set up through a core network.

A method for handling an UpLink (UL) resource request in a master Base Station (BS) exchanging data with a plurality of BSs in a communication system is provided. The method includes receiving UL resource request information from at least one slave BS in a cooperative cell, determining scheduled UL resource allocation information indicating information about resources for transmitting UL data, based on the UL resource request information, and delivering the scheduled UL resource allocation information to a Subscriber Station (SS) and the at least one slave BS. The UL resource request information may be generated depending on a UL resource request of the SS.

An apparatus and method for supporting a location update registration process used for an idle mode operation of a Mobile Station (MS) in a Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication are provided. The method includes determining whether a system global location update registration timer is applied to the MS, when it is determined that the global location update registration timer is not applied, determining a timer for updating a location when the MS operates in an idle mode, and transmitting a message including the timer to the MS.

A method for performing a network entry procedure by a Mobile Station (MS) in a cloud cell communication system is provided. The method includes determining whether there is an arbitrary cloud cell member candidate Base Station (BS) as a cloud cell member candidate BS which has transmitted a downlink synchronization signal with a signal strength, if there is the arbitrary cloud cell member candidate BS, determining the arbitrary cloud cell member candidate BS as a final cloud cell member candidate BS which will perform a cooperative communication with the master BS, transmitting an access request message including information on the final cloud cell member candidate BS to the master BS, and receiving an access response message including information on a cloud cell member BS from the master BS.
