    Abstract: A chip-mounted board including: micro light-emitting chips arranged in a matrix pattern in a light-emitting region; and a conductive line electrically connected to the micro light-emitting chips, the light-emitting region including a first region having a first luminance, a second region having a second luminance lower than the first luminance, and a third region having a third luminance lower than the first luminance and higher than the second luminance, the luminances being values determined with the same magnitude of current supplied to the micro light-emitting chips, the third region being positioned between the first region and the second region and satisfying the following formulas (1) and (2): (1+k)/(1−k)≤63.895×tan(0.5°)×500/W+6.0525  (1) L2=k×L1  (2) wherein L1 represents the first luminance, L2 represents the second luminance, and W represents a width (unit: mm) of the third region.

    Abstract: Provided are an illumination device capable of improving the uniformity in brightness of the illumination light, and a display device using the same. An illumination device is provided with: a plurality of light sources arranged in a row in one direction; and a light guide plate which has, along a side edge face, a light receiving face facing the light source, guides light entering through the light receiving face, and outputs illumination light from a light emitting surface disposed on the front surface; the light guide plate having a plurality of prisms and a plurality of prisms provided in an indented manner on the front or rear surface and arranged in a row along the longitudinal direction of the light receiving face; the prisms being formed spanning between the light receiving face and the opposing face opposite the light receiving face; and the prisms being formed, between adjacent prisms, deeper than the prisms within a predetermined range in the vicinity of the light receiving face.

    Abstract: A display device includes a light-emitting element layer including a plurality of light-emitting elements. The light-emitting element layer includes, for each of the plurality of light-emitting elements, a first electrode and a plurality of openings exposing the first electrode, and includes an edge cover covering an end portion of the first electrode, a plurality of light-emitting layers covering each of the plurality of openings, and a second electrode that is common to the plurality of light-emitting elements and covers the plurality of light-emitting layers. The second electrode includes a metal nanowire. Furthermore, the light-emitting element layer includes an auxiliary wiring line provided in a lattice pattern in a position overlapping the edge cover, and the auxiliary wiring line and the metal nanowire are electrically connected to each other.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel, a liquid crystal panel flexible circuit board, and a backlight unit. The backlight unit includes LEDs, a light guide plate, a chassis, and an LED board. The light guide plate has an outer shape conforming to an outer shape of the liquid crystal panel. The chassis including a sidewall portion which surrounds the light guide plate and the LEDs. The LED board has an outer shape conforming to the outer shape of the light guide plate. The LEDs are mounted on the LED board at intervals in the circumferential direction. The LED board includes LED mount portions, and LED interval portions. The LED interval portions include a cut-out LED interval portion. Between the cut-out LED interval portion and the sidewall portion, a liquid crystal panel flexible circuit board passing space is provided.

    Abstract: Provided is a technique for controlling the hue of an image when the image is displayed on a display panel so that the image should not be displayed with a hue different from the actual hue. The display device includes a display panel that includes an active matrix substrate 11a and a counter substrate 11b, and a reflection unit 12. The active matrix substrate 11a includes gate lines and source lines 24, and includes a plurality of pixel areas that are defined by the gate lines and the source lines 24. The counter substrate 11b includes color filters 31R, 31G, 31B of R, G, B at positions corresponding to the pixel areas. The reflection unit 12 transmits light from the light source 14, and reflects light from the active matrix substrate 11a. The pixel areas of R, G, B have reflection areas that reflect light from the reflection unit 12 so that the respective amounts of light outgoing from the above-described pixel areas are approximately uniform.
