摘要： A vision system for a vehicle includes a forward viewing camera. Responsive at least in part to processing by an image processor of image data captured by the forward viewing camera, at least one road characteristic of a road along which the vehicle is traveling is detected. Responsive at least in part to processing by the image processor of image data captured by the forward viewing camera, other vehicles exterior the equipped vehicle are detected. Responsive at least in part to processing by the image processor of image data captured by the forward viewing camera, road curvature of the road along which the vehicle is traveling is determined. Data derived from image data captured by the forward viewing camera may be wirelessly communicated from the vehicle to a remote data receiver located remote from the vehicle.

The graphic plate is movable to switch the at least one of the graphic symbols to another of the graphic symbols.

A ring member is provided to be closer to the front side (opposite to the passenger) than a half mirror, and thus the configuration for the passenger can be further simplified than the half mirror, thereby achieving a simple appearance. 摘要： A backlight assembly for a gauge of an automotive display panel and a method of illuminating a gauge of an automotive display panel is provided. The backlight assembly includes a lightpipe having a U-shaped configuration and a reflective dish surrounding the lightpipe. The lightpipe and the reflective dish are disposed on a mounting plate of the gauge above a liquid crystal display (LCD). Additionally, the backlight assembly includes one or more top firing light emitting diodes (LEDs) disposed adjacent to the lightpipe. The LEDs emit light to the lightpipe which in turn transmits light to the reflective dish. The reflective dish reflects back or disperses the light evenly to illuminate the graphic applique of the gauge.
