    摘要: A fuel pump and a fuel filter inside a fuel tank and a pressure regulator are supported by a cover closing for an opening of the fuel tank. The fuel sucked by the fuel pump flows into the fuel filter and flows out to the lower side chamber of a filter housing after being filtered by an element. The fuel consumed at the fuel consumption device such as an internal combustion engine is supplied through a fuel passage extending upward from the lower side chamber of the filter housing. On the other hand, water mixed in the fuel is accumulated in the lower side chamber. Especially, glass fibers having high water affinity is mixed in the filter element, so that water is trapped, becomes water drops, and fall to the lower side chamber. Water drops return to the fuel tank with surplus fuel through the pressure regulator disposed at the bottom of the housing.

    摘要: A tubular rail body has an inlet for introducing a fuel therein from a fuel supply source. A plurality of tubular protrusion portions project from the rail body in a substantially vertical direction relative to an axial direction of the rail body, and are arranged at a predetermined interval in the axial direction. A tubular extension portion extends from each of the protrusion portions in a substantially vertical direction relative to both an axial direction of the protrusion portions and the axial direction of the rail body. The tubular extension portion is inserted into a bore which extends from an exterior of an internal combustion engine to a combustion chamber. A connecting portion is formed on an end portion of the extension portion opposite to the protrusion portion and is fluidly connected with a fuel injector inserted in the bore.

    摘要: A fuel pump module comprising a fuel pump, a pressure regulator, a supply line check valve, a relief valve, and a flange adapted to engage a fuel supply line that fluidly links the fuel pump module with an injector rail. The pressure regulator is adapted to maintain a predetermined fuel pressure between the fuel pump and the supply line check valve. The supply line check valve is adapted to facilitate a minimum fuel pressure in the fuel supply line. The relief valve is adapted to limit the maximum fuel pressure in the fuel supply line. The supply line check valve, the relief valve, and the flange are integrated to form a single fluidly interconnected structure disposed within a fluid path between the pressure regulator and the fuel supply line. An integrated casing may house the fuel pump and the pressure regulator.

    摘要: A fuel pump module has a fuel pump with an outlet located within a fuel reservoir, a fuel filter casing within which a fuel filter receives fuel from the fuel pump fuel outlet. A fuel discharge housing attaches to the fuel filter casing such that fuel passing from the filter and into the discharge casing then discharges from either a casing fuel outlet or a bleed orifice. The casing fuel outlet leads to the engine while the bleed orifice discharges fuel into a sump formed into the reservoir's bottom wall under the bleed orifice. The sump retains a quantity of fuel so that during low fuel levels within the reservoir, when the engine is off, the fuel filter maintains its prime condition from fuel in the sump to lessen the filter prime time during engine starting. Selective placement of fuel valves also decreases fuel system prime times.

    摘要: A fuel feed apparatus includes a grounded conductive resinous sub tank, a conductive fuel inlet pipe integrally formed with a bottom section of the sub tank and a conductive resinous jet nozzle included in a jet pump. The jet nozzle is welded on the bottom section of the sub tank, and has a nozzle port for jetting fuel. Here, the jet nozzle, the jet pump and the fuel inlet pipe are grounded via the sub tank without individual wiring member. Even if static electricity is generated due to friction between the jet nozzle and fuel jetted from the nozzle port, electrical charging can be prohibited. Thus, dielectric breakdown due to the electrically charging and cracking resulting from the dielectric breakdown can be also prohibited.

    摘要: A fuel pump module with integrated vapor vent manifold for minimizing fuel vapor emission in a fuel venting system, comprising a modular flange having a plurality of vapor inlets on the bottom side for receiving fuel vapor from sources both proximal and distal to the flange within the fuel tank. The vapors collected from distal sources within the tank are carried to the manifold by means of internal vent lines thereby minimizing permeation emissions common of external vapor lines. Once received in the manifold, the vapors conglomerate and exit the top side of the flange through a single outlet, connected by a single vapor line to a remote canister for storage.
