    摘要: An apparatus is provided for reducing a peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in a wireless communication system having multiple transmit antennas. A symbol generator generates symbols to be transmitted via the multiple transmit antennas, and a PAPR calculator calculates a PAPR value for each symbol. A detector detects a maximum PAPR value among the PAPR values of the symbols. A controller outputs a control signal to reduce a PAPR value of a corresponding symbol when the detected maximum PAPR value exceeds a reference PAPR value. A PAPR reducer reduces the PAPR value of the corresponding symbol upon receipt of the control signal.

A symbol generator generates symbols to be transmitted via the multiple transmit antennas, and a PAPR calculator calculates a PAPR value for each symbol. A ranging channel is effectively configured according to a data structure, namely, frame structure, transmitted and received between a mobile station (MS) and a base station (BS) in a wireless communication system, and ranging information is transmitted therethrough to thereby improve performance of a communication channel and resource efficiency. In the wireless communication system, a ranging channel is configured by using a time interval, such as an idle time, an idle symbol, an RTG, a TTG, and the like, not actually used for transmission of data or a signal in a data structure, namely, in a frame structure, transmitted and received between an MS and a BS, to transmit ranging information, so the channel performance and resource efficiency can be improved.

Said one or both of the upper and lower surfaces of the shank may be provided with recesses having a thickness enough for an uppermost portion of the damper not to be higher than an uppermost portion of the diamond blade According to another embodiment of the present invention, a low noise diamond saw comprises: a shank formed of a circular metallic plate; and a diamond blade bonded to an outer circumferential surface of the shank, in which a plurality of recesses having a predetermined depth are formed in upper and lower surfaces of the shank in correspondence with each other in a circumferential direction, a hole having a diameter smaller than that of the recess is formed in the recess, and a damper is mounted in the hole so that a clearance may not be generated between a surface of the recess and a surface of the damper. In the diamond saw, noise is reduced as the number of the dampers is increased.
