    摘要: An apparatus for detecting overlapped paper sheet feed in a paper sheet feed path. The apparatus includes a photosensor and a load resistor located in the paper sheet feed path for detecting a voltage representing a light transmittivity of paper sheet(s) fed through the paper sheet feed path. The apparatus also includes a resistor control for changing the resistance value of the load resistor between a first resistance which generates a predetermined detected voltage at the feed of a single paper sheet of the highest light transmittivity and a second resistance generating the predetermined detected voltage at a feed of a single paper sheet of the lowest light transmittivity and for comparing a detected voltage of a first paper sheet with the predetermined detected voltage to generate a first signal indicating that the detected voltage is equal to the predetermined detected voltage and a second signal indicating that the detected voltage is not equal to the predetermined detected voltage and for fixing the resistance value of the load resistor in response to the first signal and generating an error signal representing the overlapped paper sheet feed in response to the second signal. The apparatus also includes means for comparing a detected voltage of a second paper sheet with a first threshold voltage which is established separately from the predetermined detected voltage to discriminate a single paper sheet feed and an overlapped paper sheet feed in order to generate an error signal when the detected voltage of the second paper sheet is a voltage indicating an overlapped paper sheet feed.

    摘要: A magnetic transducer head comprising a first magnetic core element and a second magnetic core element, each of the first and second core elements comprising a magnetic ferrite block and a magnetic metal thin film integrated with the magnetic ferrite block. These core elements having a first planar surface and a second planar surface. The magnetic metal thin film being provided on the second planar surface and having an edge thereof facing to the first planar surface, and the second planar surface being slantly provided with respect to said first planar surface. These core elements being bonded together to form an operating magnetic gap between the edge of the magnetic metal thin film on the first core element and the edge of the magnetic metal thin film on the second core element. The magnetic metal thin film on the first core element or the magnetic thin film on the second core element is formed in one common plane.The magnetic metal thin film may be formed of the ferromagnetic metals including Fe--Al--Si alloys, amorphous metal alloys or permalloy. And the magnetic metal thin film having substantially uniform columnar grain structure or uniform magnetic anisotropy, over entire area of the film.

    摘要: The present invention provides a program that creates a preliminary map of a multiple bus network used to connect peripheral devices to the central processing unit of an information handling system. This preliminary map is then used by configuration software of the information handling system to locate the peripheral devices in the multiple bus network to configure them. If the physical configuration of the multiple bus network should change in any way, the inventive program can make corresponding changes in the preliminary map without having to rewrite or change the program.
