摘要: A medical instrument holding apparatus comprises a support arm supported such that it is rotatable about a first axis of rotation, a first arm supported such that it is rotatable about a second axis of rotation, a second arm supported such that it is rotatable about a third axis of rotation, and a third arm supported such that it is rotatable about a fourth axis of rotation. This apparatus further comprises first, second, third and fourth locks for locking the support arm, the first arm, the second arm and the third arm about the first, second, third and fourth axes of rotation, respectively, and for releasing the locked states of the arms. This apparatus can select control for causing predetermined three of the first, second, third and fourth locks to execute a locking operation, or control for causing all the locks to execute the locking operation.

The image-acquisition optical system includes an objective optical system for forming an image of the subject at an image-forming plane, and an entrance pupil position of the image-acquisition optical system is disposed between the objective optical system and the subject.

摘要: An operating microscope includes a base and a support coupled to the base. An arm has a proximal end portion rotatably and/or vertically movably coupled to the support, and a distal end portion. At least the distal end portion is formed of a non-magnetic material. A microscope portion is coupled to the distal end portion of the arm and includes a stereoscopic optical system for forming an image of an observed part. The microscope portion is formed of a non-magnetic material. The operating microscope also includes a power system for operating the microscope portion or a part thereof, and an operation instructing portion for instructing the power system to operate. The power system includes a power generating portion for generating a pressure change or a positional change; a power output portion, formed of a non-magnetic material, for converting the pressure change or the positional change of the power generating portion into a power for operating the microscope portion and a part thereof; and a power transmitting mechanism for transmitting the pressure change and the positional change from the power generating portion to the power output portion. The power transmitting mechanism is formed of a non-magnetic material at least near the power output portion.

摘要: An apparatus for holding a medical instrument, such as an endoscope, in place without exerting an undue force on an insertion hole in an abdominal cavity of a subject even when the arm of a scope-holding section is unlocked, includes a four-link parallelogram mechanism. The four-link parallelogram mechanism includes a support arm for supporting a treating tool, an arm section parallel to the support arm and upper and lower arm sections connected to the upper and lower end sides of the support arm and arm section in a parallel relation. A support mechanism supports the arm sections of the four-link parallelogram mechanism to allow the arm sections to be moved in left/right and up/down directions, while being rotated, so that a straight line connecting an intersecting point P of a center line of the treating instrument inserted into an insertion hole in an abdominal wall of a subject and the center of the insertion hole to spherical bearings of the arm is set parallel to the upper and lower arm sections.

摘要: An apparatus for supporting a medical instrument includes an arm, which has a support portion to support a medical instrument at one end, and an intermediate portion of which is supported by a base portion via a support column. The arm moves the support portion horizontally and vertically. The apparatus also includes a rotary connecting member, which is provided at a second end of the arm and moves to a position corresponding to a position to which the support portion has been moved. The apparatus further includes a counterweight, which is connected to the support column to be immovable in the horizontal directions and movable in the vertical directions, and generates vertically downward force. The rotary connecting member is connected to the counterweight so as to be movable in the horizontal directions relative to the counterweight and movable in the vertical directions together with the counterweight.

The surgical operation observational system is provided with two monitors in the operating microscope for the observation of the affected region to be operated. Images on the two monitors are alternatively superposed on the optical path of the operating microscope.

摘要: A surgical microscope unit which is compact and operated lightly at high stability has first and second parallelogrammic linkages, interlocking mechanisms for interlocking the first and second parallelogrammic linkages, a counterweight connected to an arm of the second parallelogrammic linkage, flexible movement transmitting members for transmitting tilting movements of the microscope body around pivot axes directly to a tilting rod as tilting movements around pivot axes at the same ratio, and a movement controlling mechanism for limiting a moving locus of the tilting rod to a corresponding location at which the microscope unit is set. The pivot axes are arranged so that a triangle formed by connecting the pivot axes is similar to a triangle formed by connecting the pivot axes in a plane parallel with a plane including a vertical axis. Auxiliary counterweights are provided on members interlocking with either the first interlocking mechanism or the second interlocking mechanism. When the microscope body is moved, the balancing weight does not project from the microscope body.
