The front-seat air conditioner has a main blower to blow air into a front-seat part, and the rear-seat blower unit has a rear-seat blower to blow air into a rear-seat part. The main blower and the rear-seat blower are controlled with a relationship between them and predetermined patterns. The main blower supplies additional blown air into the rear-seat part when needed. This additional blown air can be supplied responsive to the detection of a passenger in the rear-seat part.

    摘要: An air conditioner system for a vehicle includes a rear-seat blower unit and a rear-seat blower unit which are connected only by at least two connecting passages. Thus the air conditioner system is simple in structure and hence easy to construct. Further, any existing front-seat air conditioner unit can be used without reconstruction. The temperature of the blown-off air is automatically adjusted in accordance with the difference between the temperature preset by the temperature setting means and the temperature detected by the rear-seat mode sensor so that the temperature in the rear-seat part of the passenger compartment can be controlled at passenger's desire, independently of the temperature of the front-seat part.

    摘要: A method of controlling the idling rotational speed of an internal combustion engine for an automotive vehicle equipped with an air conditioning system having a variable capacity compressor disposed to be driven by the engine and capable of being controlled by an external control signal. A value of a capacity control signal as the external control signal for controlling the capacity of the compressor is calculated. A value of torque required for starting the compressor is calculated based upon ambient temperature and the calculated value of the capacity control signal. The engine idling rotational speed is increased in accordance with the calculated starting torque. When the ambient temperature is higher than a predetermined value, the required starting torque is calculated based only upon the ambient temperature irrespective of the calculated value of the capacity control signal, whereas when the ambient temperature is lower than the predetermined value, the required starting torque is calculated based upon both the ambient temperature and the calculated value of the capacity control signal.

Abnormalities that occur in conjunction with the dismounting and remounting of diagnosed portions during checking processes are absorbed in the number of times the abnormality occurs within the predetermined value so that a wrong diagnosis can be avoided. Moreover, each diagnosed portion having the number of times the abnormality exceeds the predetermined value and each diagnosed portion having an abnormality that occurs during the diagnostic process can be distinguished from each other. Consequently, check and repairs can be based on an understanding of whether or not the abnormality lacks repeatability such as an imperfect contact and a half-disconnection.

    摘要: In an air conditioner including a variable-capacity compressor, a control system performs a PI calculation based on a temperature deviation between the actual temperature of the air downstream of an evaporator and its target temperature, thereby determining a control amount for controlling the capacity of the compressor. It is judged whether or not the sum of a proportional control component and an integral control component exceeds a limit value of the control amount corresponding to the maximum capacity of the compressor. If this judgment is in the affirmative, an ordinary integral calculation is stopped, and the integral control component is determined by subtracting the proportional control component from this limit value.
