    摘要: An induction heating apparatus includes a rotor having a rotation shaft, and a stator having a heating portion disposed at a distance from the rotor. A coil that generates magnetic flux in a direction of the heating portion is provided in the rotor. The heating portion is formed of a composite material of a magnetic material and a conductive material, and has a structure in which a magnetic material portion and a conductive material portion are combined. When the coil is in a position opposed to the heating portion, a cross-sectional area of the magnetic material portion is smaller than an area of linkage of magnetic flux generated by the coil in the heating portion, and the conductive material portion is disposed to surround a periphery of the magnetic material portion. A flow passage in which the heating medium circulates is provided in the heating portion.

    摘要: A superconducting fault current limiter is provided which is capable of ensuring a sufficient impedance for restricting an excessive current flow caused by an accident and completely satisfying a canceling condition of a magnetic field during normal operation without using an iron core. The fault current limiter includes first superconducting coils and second superconducting coils including windings of superconducting lines. First superconducting coils are electrically connected in series with second superconducting coils. First superconducting coils and second superconducting coils generate magnetic fields in opposite directions by application of currents. The fault current limiter further includes a component selected from a group consisting of a resistor and an inductor, the component being electrically connected in parallel with second superconducting coils. First superconducting coils and second superconducting coils are alternately arranged in a ring form such that a coil axis is circular.

    摘要: In the present invention, a partly duplexed conversion table is used as a conversion table for converting an M-bit based data string directly into an N-bit based code string without using margin bits. This conversion table is constituted by first and second sub-tables including plural code groups, respectively. The plural code groups include different codes for the same input data. The second sub-table is a table which is partly duplexed with the first sub-table and is produced by allocating different codes to data from first input data to second input data in the first sub-table. The first and second sub-tables are so designed that code sets of the duplexed portions take variants of digital sum variations which are opposite in sign. Codes are allocated to all the code groups in the duplexed portions of the first and second sub-tables with respect to input data sequentially from a code having a maximum absolute value of variant of the digital sum variation. Thus, according to the present invention, low frequency components of modulated signals may be restricted properly.
