摘要： Bleaching compositions are provided that comprise a nitrile containing compound that has the nitrile bonded to a quaternary nitrogen through a methylene unit (where one or both of the normal hydrogens can be substituted), and two of the quaternary nitrogen bonds are part of a saturated ring. This saturated ring contains from two to eight atoms in addition to the quaternary nitrogen. A source of active oxygen will react with the nitrile for bleaching applications. Particularly preferred nitrile containing compounds are N-alkyl morpholinium acetonitrile salts.

摘要： Improved stabilizer compositions are provided which impart significant long-term stabilization to halogen containing polymers such as polyvinyl chloride. The improved stabilizer compositions incorporate an alkali-metal hydrogen phosphate compound, such as anhydrous disodium hydrogen phosphate, of a predetermined surface area. The novel inorganic phosphate enables a reduction in the amount of organmetallic stabilizer, if desired, while still yielding long-term stability in the resultant polymer, or the ability to raise process temperature and reduce cycle times of molding operations.

摘要： An eyedrop applicator attachment for attachment to a bottle having a large or small threaded neck. The applicator attachment is provided with a hollow cylindrical body, and an eyecup integral with the body at one end. The other end of the body has an opening, and interiorly of the body are two female threads, located coaxially and of different diameters, the threads with the larger diameter being adjacent the open end of the body. Thus, the applicator attachment may be attached to a squeeze bottle with a larger diameter neck, or to a squeeze bottle with a smaller diameter neck. In an alternate embodiment, axially of the threads for engagement with the neck of a bottle, there is an extension having a third female thread, into which a plug is threaded to provide a closure for the nozzle of a bottle attached to the cylindrical body.In an alternate embodiment, the eyecup is intergral with the neck of a bottle, which may be of molded plastic, and provided with a snap fitting for receiving a nozzle insert, there being a cylindrical extension between the neck portion of the bottle and the eyecup which is internally threaded to receive a stopper which is in part hollow to receive and engage with a surface thereof the end of the drop-forming nozzle.There are also provided an alternate embodiment in which a stopper and an attachment body have mating double threads, and the stopper has gripping means on the exterior or interior thereof. Further, a combined lid and stopper may be provided, with provision for relative sliding and rotatable movement.

摘要： A thickened aqueous cleaning composition is viscoelastic, and has utility as a drain opening composition or as a hard surface cleaner having a cleaning-effective residence time on non-horizontal surfaces. In one embodiment the composition comprises a cleaning active, a quaternary ammonium compound, and an organic counterion. In another embodiment, the viscoelastic quality of the composition is advantageously utilized as a drain opener which rapidly penetrates standing water with minimal dilution to deliver active to the clog material.

摘要： A pharmaceutical method for improving memory or correcting memory deficiency is disclosed, utilizing compounds having the formula: ##STR1## wherein n.sup.1, n.sup.2, n.sup.3, and n.sup.4 =0 to 3; R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 , and R.sup.4 =H, loweralkyl or phenyl; R.sup.5 =H or loweralkyl; X=0 or S; Ar=phenyl, substituted phenyl, pyridinyl, furanyl, thienyl, methoxy-1H-benzotriazolyl, indolinyl, methoxyindolinyl, methoxypyrimidinyl, amino-methoxypyrimadinyl, 1,3-benzodioxolyl, or naphthalenyl; the optical isomers; and the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts, hydrates and alcoholates thereof. The dosage effective for this use is from about 10 to 1000 nanograms/kg.

摘要： A trolling attachment for an outboard engine includes a strap element for securement to the upper section of an engine housing and a plate member having an axial slot extending inwardly from one end for securement to the lower section of an engine housing. A handle rod is extendable slidably through apertures in a flange element projecting perpendicularly from the strap element and in the plate member. A trolling flap is hingedly secured to the lower surface of the plate member and pivotably mounts the lower extremity of the handle rod. A pin is carried by the flange element that is cooperable with the handle rod for releasably locking the handle rod in a selected vertical position. A lower region of the handle rod is rearwardly offset and given a notch which is cooperable with the plate member for releasably locking the trolling flap in its vertical position.

摘要： A temperature sensor assembly is described that includes a sensor probe including a probe head and a probe shaft. At least a tip of the sensor probe includes a material with a thermal conductivity proportionality constant greater than stainless steel. A temperature sensor is positioned within the probe shaft adjacent to the tip. A nose piece is positioned on the probe shaft opposite the probe head. The nose piece includes a material with a thermal conductivity proportionality constant greater than stainless steel. The temperature sensor assembly also includes a collar positioned around the probe shaft between the probe head and the nose piece, the collar is capable of rotating relative to the probe shaft during installation of the sensor assembly.
