摘要: The present invention relates to a novel proteinase inhibitor useful as a medicine or pesticides and a gene coding for the inhibitor. A proteinase inhibitor (Kexstatin) having inhibitory activity against Kex2 proteinase family enzymes and having a molecular weight of 11,500; a gene coding for Kexstatin; and a method for producing Kexstatin using a microorganism belonging to the genus Streptomyces or transformed with Kexstatin gene are disclosed.

摘要: Fusaric acid resistant genes derived from fusaric acid decomposing or detoxifying microorganisms such as Pseudomonas cepacia and Klebsiella oxytoca are described. Also described are DNA fragments and plasmids, which comprise such fusaric acid resistant genes. Host cells comprising such plasmids are also described.

摘要: Described herein are a novel heat-resistant .beta.-galactosyltransferase, a production process of the enzyme and a utilization method of the enzyme. The enzyme is produced preferably by produced by a microorganism belonging to the family of Actinomycetaceae, which may be selected from fungi belonging to the genus Saccharopolyspora, the genus Thermomonospora or the genus Thermoactinomyces.
