摘要: A snow removal machine propelled by crawler belts trained around drive wheels and driven wheels is provided. The snow removal machine has a scraper confronting the outer periphery of the driven wheel so as to remove snow adhering to and accumulating on the outer periphery during snow removing operation. It prevents increase in tension of the crawler belt due to the increased diameter of the driven wheel in appearance that might otherwise be caused by snow adhering to the outer periphery.

摘要: A crawler belt for use on a crawler motor vehicle has an elongate belt body drivable in a predetermined direction, and a plurality of ridges mounted on a ground contact side of the belt body, each of the ridges having at least one sipe defined in a free end thereof for allowing the ridge to be flexibly deformable in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction. Each of the ridges has a plurality of sipes defined therein and extending longitudinally thereof or substantially perpendicularly to the predetermined direction. The ridges comprise a plurality of chevron-shaped ridges pointing toward the predetermined direction and succesively arranged at predetermined spaced intervals in the predetermined direction. The ridges are divided into a plurality of groups each including a plurality of ridges by grooves extending transversely of the belt body, and divided into a plurality of segments by at least one longitudinal groove extending longitudinally of the belt body.

摘要: A liquid crystal composition for forming a polymer/liquid crystal composite in which disorder of an orientation state is reduced is provided. The liquid crystal composition includes a liquid crystal material exhibiting a blue phase and a liquid crystalline monomer represented by the following general formula (G1). Note that the liquid crystal composition may include a non-liquid-crystalline monomer and a polymerization initiator. In the general formula (G1), X represents a mesogenic skeleton; and Y1 and Y2 individually represent an alkylene group having a sum of carbon atoms and/or oxygen atoms of 1 to 20. Also in the general formula (G1), the alkylene group and the alkyl group may include a carbonyl group and may have an ether bond. In addition, the carbonyl group and the ether bond may form an ester structure. In the general formula (G1), Z1 and Z2 individually represent an acryloyl group or a methacryloyl group.

In a manufacturing method of a liquid crystal display device which includes a liquid crystal composition exhibiting a blue phase, the liquid crystal composition including nematic liquid crystal, a chiral agent, a polymerizable monomer, and a photopolymerization initiator which absorbs light with a peak wavelength that is different from a peak wavelength of light absorbed by the nematic liquid crystal is used. The liquid crystal composition is capable of exhibiting a blue phase and is irradiated with light absorbed by the photopolymerization initiator so that the liquid crystal composition is polymerized.
