    摘要: An optical recording medium of the present invention has a recording layer containing an organic coloring matter expressed by the following formula (I) or (II): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.0 through R.sub.5 each indicate a hydrogen atom or an monovalent organic residue, at least one of R.sub.0 through R.sub.3 being a fluorine-containing monovalent organic residue; m indicates 0, 1 or 2; and X.sup..crclbar. indicates an anion residue. ##STR2## wherein X.sup..crclbar. indicates an anion residue; m indicates 0, 1 or 2; and R.sub.0' and R.sub.3' are atoms forming combinations of R.sub.0' and R.sub.1', and R.sub.2', and R.sub.3' at least one of which forms, with a nitrogen atom, a fluorine-containing substituted or unsubstituted pyrrolidine ring, a fluorine-containing substituted or unsubstituted piperidine ring, a fluorine-containing substituted or unsubstituted morpholine ring, a fluorine-containing substituted or unsubstituted tetrahydropyridine ring, a fluorine-containing substituted or unsubstituted cyclohexylamine ring expressed by the formula ##STR3## and the other substituents each being a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic residue; and R.sub.4, and R.sub.5, each indicate a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic residue.

    摘要: Described is an optical recording medium comprising at least one of naphtholactam compounds represented by the specific formulas. The optical recording medium has absorption at the long wavelength side, can make a record with high sensitivity even when a long wavelength oscillation laser such as a semiconductor layer is used, and can obtain a high C/N ratio because of the capability of forming pits with good shapes. It is also possible to provide an optical recording medium which can be readily prepared by coating, has good stability to heat, and has superior storage stability with less reproduction deterioration.

    摘要: The present invention provides an optical recording medium having on a substrate a recording layer containing an organic coloring matter and a record-assisting layer which is formed out of an elastic polymer cured by a radical reaction. So that radicals generated in the record-assisting layer may be inactivated, a radical scavenger is given to the recording layer, or a radical-scavenging layer is provided between the recording layer and the record-assisting layer.
