摘要： A color picture tube includes a panel of which substantially rectangular effective area has a flat external surface and a curved internal surface, and on the internal surface of the effective area thereof a phosphor screen is formed. The internal surface of the effective area of the panel, when an average radius of curvature in major axis direction is RH, an average radius of curvature in minor axis direction is RV, an average radius of curvature in long side direction is RL and an average radius of curvature in short side direction is RS, is formed in a curved face satisfying RH>RV and RS≧RV, or RH>RV and RS≧RV and RL≧RH. In this color picture tube, flatness of the effective area of the panel and visibility are improved.

摘要： A substantially rectangular shadow mask is arranged opposite to a phosphor screen formed on an inner surface of a panel. The shadow mask has a mask body and a mask frame to which a peripheral portion of the mask body is attached. The shadow mask has a rectangular form having a center through which a tube axis passes, and a long axis and a short axis passing through the center and perpendicular to each other. The mask frame has a pair of long side walls extending parallel to the long axis and a pair of short side walls extending parallel to the short axis. The height of each long side wall at a central portion along the tube axis is lower than the height of each short side wall at a central portion along the tube axis.

摘要： In a rolling bearing including an inner race; an outer race; a plurality of rolling elements rollingly arranged between the inner race and the outer race; and a cage holding the rolling elements, the cage has an annular shape and a plurality of pockets which are formed at plural positions in a circumferential direction of the cage, in which each of the pockets has an opening peripheral portion which is curved to a direction of increasing a distance from a center of the rolling elements. The opening peripheral portion forms a chamfered face or a convex face. The rolling bearing can sufficiently ensure the lubrication of sliding contact portions between the cage and rolling elements so that vibrations and noises of the rolling bearing are lowered.

摘要： A shadow mask of a color cathode-ray tube includes a mask body in the form of a substantially rectangular curved surface. The mask body has a center, horizontal and vertical axes perpendicularly crossing each other at the center, long sides extending in parallel to the horizontal axis, and short sides extending in parallel to the vertical axis. In a region of the mask body which is adjacent to the vertical axis, the radius of curvature in the vertical direction is smaller at portions of the mask body which are near the long sides than at the central portion of the mask body. In a intermediate region of the mask body between the vertical axis and each short side, the radius of curvature in the vertical direction is larger at the portions of the mask body which are near the long sides than at a portion adjacent to the horizontal axis.
