Abstract:
A communication method, an access network device and a communication device using the same method, and a communication system are proposed. According to an embodiment, the communication method can include following step. An access network device determines whether there is any femto cell within the coverage area thereof. when there is at least one femto cell within the coverage area thereof, the access network device obtains femto cell information of the at least one femto cell; and delivers the femto cell information to at least one terminal device within the coverage area thereof, where the femto cell information includes an indication of the at least one femto cell, at least one femto cell identifier and at least one carrier frequency of the at least one femto cell.
Abstract:
Time synchronization of an access point base station. The method may include receiving an assignment message from a service provider comprising a plurality of parameters. The plurality of parameters may include an access point base station frequency assignment, a network identifier, an access point base station identifier, a neighbor list, a PN offset, and/or a scrambling code. The access point base station may then synchronize with the macro base station. Synchronizing may include searching for a strongest macro base station in the neighbor list, synchronizing a long code of the access point base station to the macro base station, estimating a propagation delay between the macro base station and the access point base station, and initializing a state of the access point base station PN code using the propagation delay to provide system time synchronization.
Abstract:
A mobile communication device is provided with a wireless module and a controller module. The wireless module performs wireless transceiving to and from a service network. The controller module receives, on a paging channel, a first predetermined number of symbols in a frame of a time slot via the wireless module, and determines whether to enter a standby mode according to the first predetermined number of symbols. Also, the controller module stops the receiving of subsequent symbols in the frame by deactivating the wireless module in response to entering the standby mode.
Abstract:
A communication method and a communication device using the same method are proposed. The proposed communication method is adapted to a machine-to-machine communication device (M2M device) with low mobility, and includes following steps: reporting that the M2M device is low mobility to a communication network; reporting a sector, in which the M2M device is located, to the communication network; and transmitting a paging message only in the sector to the M2M device.
Abstract:
A data processing method for a wireless communication system with a plurality of terminals, an intermediate device and a service network, the method comprising: sending a plurality of machine type communication (MTC) data flows from the plurality of terminals to the intermediate device; performing a data multiplexing operation by the intermediate device on the plurality of machine type communication data flows to generate a multiplexed data flow; and the service network receiving the multiplexed data flow.
Abstract:
A wireless communication system including a receiver and a transmitter. The receiver receives a frame of data, and sends an acknowledgement. The acknowledgement includes a positive acknowledgement (ACK) if the data is successfully decoded or a negative acknowledgement (NAK) if the data is unsuccessfully decoded. The acknowledgement is sent according to timing of an acknowledge mask. The transmitter is wirelessly coupled to the receiver, and receives the acknowledgement according to the acknowledge mask, and sends a response to the receiver according to the acknowledgement. The response includes, if an ACK is received before transmission completes of the frame, the transmitter terminates transmission of the frame; if a NAK is received before transmission completes of the frame, the transmitter continues to send the frame; and if an ACK is not received before a predefined frame early scheduling point, the transmitter retransmits the frame after transmission completes of the frame.
Abstract:
An apparatus for notifying of a circuit switched event over a packetized data network. The apparatus includes a packetized data modem and an internetworking interface. The packetized data modem is configured to transmit and receive packetized data over a packetized data radio link. The packetized data modem has a tunneling link access control processor that is configured to encapsulate/decapsulate data for a subset of sub-layers corresponding to a link access control layer of a circuit switched network model. The internetwork interface is operatively coupled to the packetized data modem via the packetized data network, and is configured to notify the packetized data modem of the circuit switched event. The internetworking interface has a link access control/tunneling link access control processor that is configured to encapsulate/decapsulate the data when performing notification of the circuit switched event.
Abstract:
An access network is wirelessly coupled to an access terminal. The access network comprises a plurality of communication modules, a transmitter and a channel estimator. The plurality of communication modules coupled to the access terminal and configured to transmit a plurality of signals. The transmitter coupled to the access terminal and configured to send an index which indicates number of the plurality of signals. The channel estimator, configured to adjust and modulate a channel state information into the plurality of signals.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus is provided for reducing network synchronization time in a dual-mode access terminal. The dual-mode access terminal supports a first and a second network. The method includes determining if CDMA system time is available within the dual-mode access terminal. In response to determining that CDMA system time is available, the method includes forgoing acquiring the CDMA system time through a pilot acquisition procedure, reading the CDMA system time from a memory, and programming the CDMA system time into a system time unit. In response to determining that CDMA system time is not available, the method includes acquiring the CDMA system time through the pilot acquisition procedure and programming the CDMA system time into the system time unit.
Abstract:
A user equipment for alleviating barred access while reselecting from a first cell to a second cell in a mobile communication system is provided. A wireless module detects receives system information broadcasted in the first cell. A storage unit stores the system information. A controller reselects from the first cell to the second cell, determines whether a first barred access timer is running, and stops the first barred access timer and informs the upper layer of an RRC protocol that the access of the first service is allowed in response of that the first barred access timer is running.
