摘要: A method for state detection of a cutting device for agricultural crop is described. The cutting device is formed with a cutting tool set into rotation with respect to a shear bar operates such that a clearance position of the shear bar is changeable with respect to the cutting too. The method includes assigning at least two interspaced sensors for detecting vibrations to the shear bar caused by the cutting tool upon contact with the shear bar, transmitting signals generated by the sensors to a common signal analysis device and, the common signal analysis device comparing the signals and determining a state of the cutting device.

摘要: A control system and method is provided for controlling the operational configuration of a spout of a harvester being used to perform unload on the go operations with an associated transport vehicle. The velocities of the harvester and transport vehicle and the lateral and longitudinal distances between the harvester and transport vehicle are used to predict future lateral and longitudinal distances between the harvester and transport vehicle. A control signal is issued to a harvester spout control system if either of the predicted lateral distance or longitudinal distance is outside of an associated acceptable range. The harvester spout control system then either shuts off the spout or changes the orientation of the spout in response to the control signal.

摘要: An apparatus for measuring stalk strength of a plant is disclosed. A force sensor is mounted to a harvester in a position to measure the resistance to crushing of the plant stalk by a stalk roll of the harvester. The apparatus may include a pair of counter rotating stalk rolls that pull and crush the plant stalk between them and a pair of stain gauges attached on either side of a mounting apparatus of the stalk rolls to sense both the tension and compression forces induced in the mounting apparatus by each of the rolls in response to the resistance to crushing of the plant stalk. Data collected by the invention can be advantageously used in a breeding program wherein breeding decisions are made based at least in part on stalk strength.
