Abstract:
An oral product includes a body that is wholly receivable in an oral cavity. The body includes a polymer matrix and one or more flavorants and/or active ingredients embedded in the polymer matrix. The polymer matrix can include a copolymer of ethylene and one or more vinyl monomers or zein. For example, the polymer can be ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and/or ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. In some cases, the oral product can include tobacco and/or nicotine.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the tobacco substitutes, in particular to smoking compositions without tobacco and is intended mainly for smoking with the hookah use. In the method of preparation the smoking composition without tobacco for the hookah which comprises the preliminary preparation of the main organic material, at least one type of fruits is used as the main organic filling material and the mix of propyleneglycol and food glycerin. The method of preparation the smoking composition without tobacco for the hookah allows to reduce the burning rate and the consumption for one filling. This method improves the quality of the smoking composition.

Abstract:
A container for a consumable recipient product. The container also contains a non-consumable donor product carrier which contains a donor product which emits a substance to impart a characteristic to the recipient product in the container. The donor product carrier includes a barrier layer, disposed between the donor product and the recipient product, through which the substance can travel.
Abstract:
The invention provides a polymer prepared from a substituted 1,3-butadiene (such as neophytadiene) derived from a plant of the Nicotiana species. The invention also provides smoking articles and smokeless tobacco compositions that include the polymers described herein. Further, the invention provides a method of polymerizing a substituted 1,3-butadiene derived from a plant of the Nicotiana species, the method including reacting a substituted 1,3-butadiene derived from a plant of the Nicotiana species with one or more reagents selected from the group consisting of an anionic initiator, a radical initiator, and a Ziegler-Natta catalyst.
Abstract:
A method for preparing a flavor-containing sheet for a smoking article, characterized by includes a step of extending a raw material slurry on a substrate, wherein the slurry contains polysaccharide including at least one of carrageenan and gellan gum, a flavor, an emulsifier and 70 to 95 wt % of water, has the flavor content of 100 to 1000 wt % based on the polysaccharide, and has a temperature of 60 to 90° C. in a sol state, a step of cooling the extended raw material slurry to a sample temperature of 0 to 40° C. to form a gel, and a heat-drying step includes heating the gelled raw material and drying it at a sample temperature of 70 to 100° C.
Abstract:
A method for producing triacetin from one or more plants of genus Nicotiana is provided. The triacetin can be derived inter alia from Nicotiana species biomass or from seed. In certain embodiments, the triacetin is produced by condensation of glycerin, generated by hydrolysis of acylglycerol-containing starting material derived from tobacco biomass or seed, and acetic acid, also derived from tobacco biomass or seed. The invention also provides articles and compositions including tobacco articles and tobacco compositions that include triacetin produced from one or more plants of genus Nicotiana.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing sheet tobacco for producing a cigarette that has equivalent aroma and flavor even if the amount of burley leaves is reduced, and does not require a special processing treatment due to the absence of necessity of an installation space and costs for the treatment, a method of manufacturing a cigarette containing the same, and a cigarette. The invention separates raw material for sheet tobacco into fiber and solution, adds a casing flavor to the solution, mixes the solution added with the casing flavor and the fiber to produce a mixture, and dries the mixture. The casing flavor is previously added at the time of the molding of sheet tobacco in the sheet-tobacco manufacturing process, which makes it possible to produce sheet tobacco having the aroma and flavor equivalent of when burley leaf tobacco is used, even without applying the special processing treatment.
Abstract:
The invention provides a tobacco composition for use in a smoking article or a smokeless tobacco composition that comprises an extract derived from a component of a plant of the Nicotiana species. The invention also provides smoking articles and smokeless tobacco compositions that include the extracts described herein, and methods for preparing extracts derived from a component of a plant of the Nicotiana species for addition to a tobacco composition.
Abstract:
A meltable smokeless tobacco composition configured for insertion into the mouth of a user is provided. The smokeless tobacco composition includes a tobacco material and a lipid having a melting point of about 36° C. to about 45° C. An associated process is also provided. The process includes melting a lipid having a melting point of about 36° C. to about 45° C. to form a molten lipid composition, mixing a tobacco material with the molten lipid composition to form a molten smokeless tobacco composition, and cooling the molten smokeless tobacco composition to form a solidified smokeless tobacco composition.
