Abstract:
A shoe for the sticks canes and crutches having a base member with four outwardly extending pads and a central flat portion. A frustoconical top member mounted above the base member is joined to a cup member for receiving the distal end of a cane or crutch member. The junction between the top member and the cup member define a waist portion that is flexible and resilient mimicking the movement of a human ankle when a person walks. Irregularities on the bottom of the pads 24 and underside 22 enhance the traction.
Abstract:
Disclosed are neuromuscular release (including myofascial trigger point) therapy devices, systems, kits and methods. The therapy tool comprises a body, wherein the body includes an outer surface, an inner surface, a tip defined at the upper-most portion of the body, a base, a stop surface defined in the body outer surface, a pocket defined by the inner surface and extending from the base upwards in the direction of the tip, and a recessed groove defined in the inner surface and extending upwards from the base and having a groove diameter and depth. The body can be generally bell-shaped with the base having a larger diameter than the tip. The system can further include a riser, either disk or wedge shaped, and a rocker base. The system components are configured to stack and nest into a compact assembly for easy carrying as a kit.
Abstract:
A massaging device includes a base part, vibrators configured to be brought into contact with target parts of a user and to massage the target parts with vibration, and springs each including a first end fixed to the base part and a second end attached to the corresponding one of the vibrators. The spring constants of the springs are set based on skin stress of the target parts.
Abstract:
In combination, vertically percussive vibration and non-symmetrical forces are applied to a patient. The non-symmetrical forces may be generated by a variety of unevenly applied weights that are supported at appropriate body locations in a manner that upsets normal body load symmetry. The non-symmetrical forces in combination with vertically percussive vibrations induce neuromusculoskeletal proprioceptive re-education and development within a living body to correct musculo-skeletal disorders including but not limited to scoliosis. A special posture modifying chair and head-orienting glasses may be used instead of or in addition to unevenly applied weights. An additional force concentrating treatment apparatus is also presented.
Abstract:
There is provided a massage apparatus capable of providing optimum massage effects even with variations in thickness of to-be-treated area such as a lower leg from user to user. The massage apparatus 1 comprises a massage section 7 having a stationary massage member 15 and a movable massage member 16, a rotary shaft 9, 10 disposed so as to pass through the base end of the movable massage member 16, a driving section 11 for rotatably driving the rotary shaft 9, 10, a pair of right-hand and left-hand changer sections 12, 13 for changing a rotational force of the rotary shaft 9, 19 into an action of movement of the movable massage member 16 toward and away from the stationary massage member 15; and a breadth adjustment mechanism 14 capable of positioning movement of the stationary massage member 15 in directions toward and away from the movable massage member 16.
Abstract:
A massager has a base, a motor assembly mounted on the base and having a worm shaft extending out of the motor, a transmission assembly including a transmission axle, a linking gear to mate with the worm gear, two secondary gears to drive two horizontal gears of a rubbing assembly and two pairs of kneading assemblies being respectively provided on opposite sides of the central seat to wabble when the transmission axle is rotated. Therefore, rotation of the rubbing assembly and wobbling movement of the kneading assembly are able to provide two different massaging effects to the user.
Abstract:
An exercise apparatus including a platform for a user to stand or sit upon, mounted on a body formed of two wedge-shaped parts which are turned relative to each other so that the platform is inclined relative to a base. The platform is coupled to the top of the body via a first bearing, and the body is coupled to the base by a second bearing: the platform is prevented from rotating relative to the base by a gimbal arrangement. A motor coupled to a shaft rotates the body so that the direction of tilt of the platform sweeps around in a corresponding circular manner.
Abstract:
An acupressure massaging system includes a platform having an upper surface, and includes an array of intersecting air channels extending therethrough in communication with space external of the pad. An array of spaced, independently flexible nipples extends from the upper surface of the platform, each nipple having an upper distal end and a flexible, accordion-pleated side wall comprised of material having elastic memory and defining an internal air-flow chamber. The air-flow chamber is in fluid communication with the air-flow channels and each nipple is structured and disposed for movement from a biased and normally extended position to a compressed position in response to contact with the skin or clothing of the user. The elastic memory of the nipples' side walls, created by the accordion-pleated side wall structure in cooperation with the elastic memory of the material of the side walls, normally urges the nipples to their extended positions to exert a kinetic counterforce on the skin or through clothing of the user providing an acupressure massaging and air-flow effect.
Abstract:
A wriggle massager includes a soft rubber sleeve, and a massaging structure received in, the soft rubber sleeve and including a bracket, a driving member installed on the bracket, a snakelike transmission shaft and a bulge member, the driving member connected with the snakelike transmission shaft to control rotation of the snakelike transmission shaft. The snakelike transmission shaft includes at least one curve portion and the bulge member includes a transmission channel so that the snakelike transmission shaft is inserted into the transmission channel through one end of the transmission channel. A rotation contour of the at least one curve portion exceeds a radial contour of the transmission channel, so that the snakelike transmission shaft rotates to drive the bulge member to wriggle. The present disclosure provides that the snakelike transmission shaft rotates to drive the bulge member to wriggle for providing a new massage mode and improving users' experience.
Abstract:
A treatment unit includes a treatment part including a treatment element, a first drive unit including a swash plate eccentric cam and a second drive unit including an eccentric cam. One of the first drive unit and the second drive unit is connected to the treatment part, and the other one of the first drive unit and the second drive unit is connected to the one of the first drive unit and the second drive unit.
