摘要: An ambulatory respiratory assist device utilizes a cuirass worn on the chest and/or abdomen and supported by a hip belt so that it does not place a load on the patient's shoulders. The belt also supports a ventilator that includes a pump and its power supply, valving, controls and auxiliary equipment. The device is optionally integrated with auxiliary features such as chest wall vibration, which can be achieved by utilizing cuirass pressure modulation, with shoulder or upper arm supports for simulating the “tripod position”, with positive pressure ventilation apparatus, or with patient monitoring. Shoulder or upper arm supports can extend directly from the belt to the shoulders or upper arms, utilized independently of the cuirass, and optionally integrated with one or more of the above-mentioned auxiliary features.

摘要: A wearable suit and control method thereof is disclosed herein. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method of controlling a wearable suit including a muscular strength assistance unit, at least a portion of which is made of a shape memory alloy material, is provided, the method including: a heating process of heating the muscular strength assistance unit to provide auxiliary force to a user of the wearable suit; and a cooling process of cooling the muscular strength assistance unit to reduce the auxiliary force, wherein the cooling process is a process of cooling the muscular strength assistance unit based on an operating time of the user.

摘要: The method DeCOMPRESSit is to decompress the spine from natural upright position using the force of gravity as a nonlinear increasing decompression force, which is applied to a spinal column in upright position. This allows the decompression force to be focused on selective vertebrae.The method to achieve the decompression results has attachment points to fix the body from the two natural upright positions, sitting and standing. This position will drive all not fixed parts under the attachment point down by gravity in a very natural way. There is no restriction in time by applying this method.A seat to achieve this decompression method has a back with attachment points, a seating base with its steady part and attached to it a movable adjustable flap, several movable adjustable resting flaps and handles, several movable adjustable joints, several movable adjustable extensions and a seat-leg-support-system. Everything should be adjusted together to fit the individuality of all body shapes to achieve the maximum support to the body and to place the user in a very relaxed position.A device to achieve this decompression method from the natural upright standing position has a harness to fix the body from under the armpits connected to a support system which contains a freely turning anchor and an adjustable belt. The support system must be placed over the head, aligned with the center of gravity of the human body. Everything should be adjusted together to fit the individuality of all body shapes to achieve the maximum support to the body and to place the user in a very relaxed position.Other features and advantages will be apparent from the following description in conjunction with the drawings.

摘要: The subject matter of the invention relates to therapy wraps for the application of compression and/or thermal therapy to a patient. The wraps are formed of at least two layers of material which are sealed together to form at least one cavity between them. The wraps may be used in conjunction with a therapy machine which fills the cavity or cavities of the wraps with fluid such as a gas and/or a liquid. The unique shapes of the wraps are particularly suitable for providing therapy to the human body. The shapes permit the manipulation of the wraps around various portions of the human body such as the shoulder, back and foot.

摘要: Disclosed are devices and methods for mitigating insulin resistance in a human subject by contacting one or more regions of the neck, the supraclavicular, and the interscapular regions of the human subject with a part of a cooling device, wherein the part of the cooling device has a temperature at about 15 or less Celsius degrees; cooling the one or more regions of the neck, the supraclavicular, and the interscapular regions of the human subject for a cooling period of at least 15 minutes; and performing previous two steps daily for about 14 or more days. The devices and methods may also be used to preventing, delaying or treating type 2 diabetes in a human subject or activating brown fat without incurring a sympathetic nerve-mediated cold feeling in a human subject.
