摘要: Oscillatory crossflow membrane separation apparatus and methods are disclosed for effluent treatment. The apparatus include a membrane module with a housing containing a membrane element, said module having an input for receiving effluent for treatment and a treated effluent output. A crossflow pump is connected for moving oscillating fluid through the membrane module and a feed pressure pump is connected with the membrane module for applying membrane operating pressure. A fluid oscillator is active with either pump for pulsating fluid received thereat.

摘要: A method and apparatus for removing fouling materials from the surface of a plurality of porous membranes (9) arranged in a membrane module (4) by providing, from within the module, by means (10) other than gas passing through the pores of said membranes, gas bubbles in a uniform distribution relative to the porous membrane array such that the bubbles move past the surfaces of the membranes (9) to dislodge fouling materials therefrom. The membranes (9) are arranged in close proximity to one another and mounted to prevent excessive movement therebetween. The bubbles also produce vibration and rubbing together of the membranes to further assist removal of fouling materials.

Unsupported fine catalyst is separated from the stream comprising unsupported fine catalyst and solvent. The deoiling zone can comprise a membrane that is rapidly displaced in a horizontal direction.

Application of the pressure differential by force of gravity applied to the liquid is also disclosed.

摘要: A device for cleaning a fluid comprises at least one set of a first membrane cloth and a second membrane cloth, each being permeable to water over substantially their entire length. The membrane cloths are held taut, substantially parallel to one another in a frame delimiting between them a movement path for fluid. The cloths are displaceable with respect to one another between a first position, in which the mutually facing surfaces substantially touch one another, and a second position, in which the cloths lie at a distance from one another and the width of the movement path for the fluid is greater than in the first position. At least one of the cloths, on the side which faces towards the adjacent cloth is provided with grooves or webs for the purpose of forming channels between the cloths in the longitudinal direction of the cloths, in the first position.

Said module comprises a plurality of filter membrane pockets having at least one opening (21) for draining the inner region of the same. Said pockets are vertically arranged in a rigid supporting element (11, 12) in a parallel manner, preferably at the same distance from each other, in such a way that the gaps between adjacent filter membrane pockets can be intensively crossed by a liquid. According to the invention, the filtration module is characterised in that the filter membrane pockets are essentially plane and flexible and are fixed to the supporting element on opposite sides, said supporting element comprising at least one evacuation line (20) for evacuating the liquid which is sucked out via the filter membrane pocket openings. Furthermore, the filter membrane pockets have a flexible, liquid-permeable core (16) and a plurality of flexible, liquid-permeable core elements.
