Abstract:
The device is a multi-purpose drive socket capable of engaging both a penta-bolt and a hex-bolt. The device is specially adapted for use in the utility industry where multiple tools are typically needed for securing electrical equipment. The device contains a retractable plunger that slides in and out of the head opening. To remove a penta-bolt, the user simply presses the plunger head up against the head of the penta-bolt, causing the plunger to retract back into the socket body. Once fully inserted, the user can loosen or tighten the penta-bolt. To remove a hex-bolt, the user inserts the hex-head into a recessed opening in the plunger head and tightens down the hex-bolt until the hex-head breaks off at the shank. In the event the hex-head remains lodged in the plunger, the device also contains an ejector pin capable of dislodging and removing the hex-head.
Abstract:
A utility sled is formed from a lightweight material and includes a handle flexibly attached to the front end thereof. The handle includes a hook that is seated within a small opening of the utility sled when not in use. A pair of retractable wheels is attached to an exterior of each sidewall of the utility sled. The sidewalls are biased outward when no load is present. When loaded, the sidewalls advantageously tend to straighten vertically. The formed bottom of the sled includes a plurality of ribs which both add strength to the sled as well as function as sled runners when the wheels are retracted. The ribs operate to reduce friction between the sled bottom and the underlying surface.
Abstract:
An assembly for a drug delivery device is provided, comprising a housing, a rotation member adapted and arranged to be rotated in a first and in a second rotational direction with respect to the housing in an operational mode of the assembly, a drive member which is configured to mechanically cooperate with the rotation member such that the drive member follows rotation of the rotation member when the rotation member is rotated in the second rotational direction and such that the rotation member rotates with respect to the drive member when the rotation member is rotated in the first rotational direction, and a piston rod. The assembly further comprises at least one biasing member which is adapted and arranged to provide a force tending to bring the rotation member and the drive member out of mechanical cooperation in the operational mode. The assembly is switchable from the operational mode into a reset mode. For switching from the operational mode into the reset mode, the biasing member is configured to drive a relative axial movement between the drive member and the rotation member such that the rotation member and the drive member are brought out of mechanical cooperation. Furthermore, a drug delivery device is provided.
Abstract:
A prescription dispensing system having a dispensing station for holding an inventory of prescription medications, a secure internet connection to the dispensing station for access by a potential prescription medication recipient, by healthcare personnel in a physician office and by pharmacy personnel at the pharmacy distribution center in a remote location, at least two webcams for visual and auditory communication between the location of the dispensing station and the pharmacy personnel via the internet to allow identification of the correct medication, identification and communication with the correct potential prescription medication recipient, and visual validation and recording of all documentation from the physician's office or potential prescription medication recipient, and a biometric reader disposed at the dispensing station for identifying a potential prescription medication recipient. The system may include various enhancements to allow accurate dispensing of the proper medication and direct secure internet communication between the pharmacist and the authorized recipient of the medication.
Abstract:
In some embodiments, a non-transitory processor-readable medium stores code representing instructions for execution by a computer processor. The instructions cause the processor to produce a list of subjects by identifying a plurality of subjects based on information associated with an analyst-selected topic. The list of subjects is expanded to include subjects that have a relationship with at least one subject from the first list of subjects. Subjects are removed from the list based on either a filter or a scoring threshold. The expanding and removing subjects is iterated until the list of subjects is substantially stable to produce a final list of subjects. A graphical network is defined based on the final list of subjects and a signal is sent representing the graphical network (e.g., to a computer monitor for display).
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method (160) for identifying potential tamper in a candidate document having content affected by noise. A candidate content value for each of a plurality of sub-regions of the candidate document and an original content value for each of a plurality of sub-regions of a corresponding original document are determined. The content values are desirably determined based on at least one characteristic of the content in the corresponding sub-region. The candidate content values (330) are associated with the corresponding original content values and a distribution of the candidate content values based on the corresponding original content values is determined. The method characterizes (340) the noise in the candidate document by determining an expected content value range based on the spread of a selected part of the distribution of candidate content values. The method can then identify (350) candidate content values outside the expected content value range as potential tamper.

Abstract:
The invention relates to compositions and methods for site-specific delivery of nucleic acids by combining them with targeting ligands and endosomolytic components.
Abstract:
A drive assembly for a drug delivery device comprises a rotation member being configured to be rotated in a first direction during setting of a dose of a drug and to be rotated in a second direction during delivery of the dose, a drive component being configured to follow rotational movement of the rotation member in the second direction during delivery of the dose and a stop member being configured to prevent rotational movement of the drive component in the first direction. The drive component comprises a first drive part and a second drive part, coupled to each other such that relative rotational movement of the first and second drive parts is prevented and relative axial movement is permitted.
Abstract:
The drive mechanism comprises a drive member inside a housing, a rotation member and a dose member. The drive member is rotatable with respect to the housing. The rotation member is also rotatable and unidirectionally rotationally engaged with the drive member. The dose member is able to move along a set/deliver path between a first axial position and a second axial position in either direction or to move along a cancel path from the second axial position to the first axial position. An engagement of the dose member with the rotation member causes the rotation member to rotate when the dose member is moved along the set/deliver path. The drive member is not rotated when the dose member is moved along the cancel path. A button in/out spline can be provided for the set/deliver path and a cancel spline for the cancel path.
