    摘要: A polishing device is provided which is attachable to a tip holder plate of a concrete polishing machine to polish a concrete surface. The polishing device includes a tip holder that is compression-molded using a heat resistant plastic material to include a plurality of tip support portions. A plurality of polishing tips are inserted into and bonded with the tip support portions of the tip holder with the polishing tips protruding out from the tip support portions when unworn. After the polishing tips are worn an initial amount from polishing the concrete surface, the tip support portions of the tip holder and the polishing tips are adapted to collectively grind the concrete surface.

    摘要: Superabrasive tools having improved caustic resistance and their methods of manufacture are disclosed. One aspect may include a method of providing caustic resistance along an entire working surface of a superabrasive tool having embedded superabrasive particles. Such a method may include forming a protective layer through reaction between a reactive source and a reactive element in situ along substantially all of the working surface at an interface between the reactive source and a support matrix including the reactive element, and between each of a plurality of superabrasive particles and the support matrix. At least a portion of the reactive source may then be removed to expose the protective layer. In some aspects, the protective layer may be substantially continuous.

    摘要: Provided is a polyurethane polishing pad. More specifically, the present invention provides a polyurethane polishing pad having an interpenetrating network structure of a vinyl polymer with a polyurethane matrix via radical polymerization and having no pores and gas bubbles. The polyurethane polishing pad having an interpenetrating network structure of a vinyl polymer exhibits uniform dispersibility and reduced changes in hardness of the urethane pad due to heat and slurry, thereby resulting in no deterioration of polishing efficiency due to abrasion heat and solubility in the slurry upon polishing, and also enables a high-temperature polishing operation. Further, according to the present invention, the interpenetrating network structure leads to an improved polishing rate and abrasion performance, thereby significantly increasing the service life of the polishing pad.
