Abstract:
A wheel rim includes a V-shaped tube, at least two hook walls and at least two hooks. The V-shaped tube includes at least two sidewalls and a bearing portion. The sidewalls are disposed opposite each other. The bearing portion connects the sidewalls. The hook walls are linearly connected to the sidewalls of the V-shaped tube respectively, wherein each of the sidewalls of the V-shaped tube includes a first end connected to the bearing portion and a second end connected to one of the hook walls. The hooks are connected to the hook walls respectively.
Abstract:
A vehicle wheel for pneumatic tires. The rim of the wheel has radially inwardly extending rim flanges, and adjacent thereto, along the inner periphery, has seats inclined in cross section for a belted tire, and adjacent thereto, has recessed portions. The recessed portions adjoining the seats extend at least partially inclined in cross section. The angle of inclination of the recessed portions with respect to the axial direction is equal to or greater than the corresponding inclination angle of the seats. The recessed portions, in the axial direction, have a dimension which is equal to or greater than that of the axial segments of the seats.
Abstract:
A one-piece rim for a vehicle wheel, especially a truck wheel, on which a pneumatic tire is to be mounted. The rim ring is provided laterally outwardly with rim flanges which extend essentially radially inwardly. Disposed next to these rim flanges, on the radially inner side of the rim ring, are respective seating surfaces for a tire bead. To secure the tire beads on the rim, even in extreme driving situations, the rim ring includes two parts which are undetachably connected with one another and/or the wheel-center disk. Provided laterally inwardly of each rim flange is a respective one-piece clamping ring, which has an outer diameter which is greater than the inner diameter formed by the rim flanges. Spring or snap rings are provided for fixing the clamping rings in position against the tire beads.
Abstract:
A rim for a bicycle wheel that includes a tire, hub and spokes. The bicycle rim generally includes a radially outer tire-engaging portion, a radially inner spoke-engaging portion, a first sidewall and a second sidewall spaced apart from the first sidewall. The first and second sidewalls extend between the tire engaging and spoke-engaging portions. The tire-engaging and spoke-engaging portions and first and second sidewalls form a toroid. The rim when attached to the tire forms a side profile and a transverse cross section that positions a center of pressure of the rim.
Abstract:
Vehicle wheel includes a rim and a pneumatic tire which includes a tread, two side walls, a carcass, reinforcing elements, and two tire beads with bead cores. An emergency running support body is supported on the rim which is arranged to support one of the pneumatic tire and an interior of the tread in an event of an emergency condition. The emergency running support body includes a shell-shaped ring body located inside the pneumatic tire and an emergency running surface on its exterior. At least one container, which contains a lubricant, is positioned inside a first ring chamber. This Abstract is not intended to define the invention disclosed in the specification , nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.
Abstract:
A vehicle wheel for a pneumatic tire of elastomeric material is provided. The bead portions of the tire are disposed on the radially inner periphery of the wheel rim, and the carcass of the tire is anchored in the bead portions by being looped-around pull and compression-resistant bead cores. The wheel has a rigid rim having essentially inwardly extending rim flanges and, axially inwardly thereof, rim seating surfaces for the bead portions of the tire. The rim flanges have abutment surfaces that face the bead portions of the tire and are inclined outwardly at an angle of between 5.degree. and 50.degree. relative to the radial direction.
Abstract:
A filler ring for a vehicle wheel and pneumatic tire assembly, in which the beads of the tire are mounted on the radially inner periphery of a drop-center wheel rim adjacent essentially radially inwardly extending rim flanges. The filler ring fills a space located between a tire bead and a wall of the drop-center. The filler ring is provided with a plurality of circumferentially extending hollow chambers that are disposed in two planes which are superimposed over one another in a radial direction and are separated from one another via a diagonal rib. Each of the planes of hollow chambers is provided with at least two hollow chambers that are successively arranged in an axial direction. The filler ring has a side wall that rests against a tire bead and extends perpendicular to the axis of rotation, and an oppositely disposed inclined wall that extends at approximately 80.degree. to the axis of rotation. The diagonal rib extends between a radially inner half of the side wall and a radially outer half of the inclined wall. To better prevent shifting of the filler ring radially inwardly, the diagonal rib forms an angle of less than 75.degree.-85.degree. with a radially inner half of the inclined wall.
Abstract:
A vehicle wheel has a wheel body or hub, an annular rigid rim mounted on it and an elastic inflatable tire mounted on the rim, the beads of the tire engaging annular recesses present on the inner face of the rim. The rim is provided with side flanks of the same curvature matched to the curvature which the flanks of the tire take up in operation, and between which is provided an annular engaging surface extending over the whole width of the rim from flank to flank, this surface giving the wheel good emergency characteristics. The inserts in the beads of the tire do not need any thickened beads which would adversely affect the resilience of its side walls, but only need to be made constructionally and to hold the reinforcing cords. The rim is made in one piece of a light material such as plastics or aluminum and can form an air reservoir for compressed air which is under high pressure and which automatically replenishes the tire when needed.
Abstract:
A vehicle wheel having a rigid rim on which can be mounted a pneumatic rubber tire. The tire beads are adapted to be disposed on the radially inner side of the rim ring. Deep mounting beds are located axially inwardly of the rim seating surfaces for the tire bead. In order to prevent the penetration of water and dirt into the deep mounting beads, the tire beads each have a cross-sectional shape which on the one hand during mounting allow the tire bead to enter the mounting space having the deep bed, and on the other hand in the operating position of the tire close off the mounting space having the deep bed region.
