Also, a distance Gcc on a tire equatorial plane from a tread profile to a tire inner circumferential surface and a distance Gsh from a tread edge to the tire inner circumferential surface satisfy a relationship 1.10≦Gsh/Gcc.

摘要: A radial tyre, which is useable for a passenger vehicle or a van, has a crown reinforcement or belt having a lightened belt structure. The lightened belt structure is constructed of a multilayer composite laminate that includes a first layer of rubber that radially surmounts, in a direction Z, two other layers of rubber. The first layer of rubber includes weakly heat-shrinkable textile circumferential reinforcers, for example, made of nylon or polyester. The two other layers of rubber are reinforced with monofilaments of high tensile steel. The multilayer composite laminate allows the tyre's weight and rolling resistance to be reduced without impairing the tyre's cornering stiffness and, therefore, road holding and handling. At the same time, the multilayer composite laminate enables the tyre to have a running endurance that is at least equivalent if not better than that of a conventional tyre.

The belt layer includes a reinforcing element containing plural metal filaments aligned in a single row without being twisted together is embedded in an elastomer. The tread portion includes: two or more circumferential main grooves arranged within a width of a ground-contact surface; and land portions, and widthwise sipes are arranged in at least one of center land portion. The widthwise sipes each include: a linear portion linearly extending from the surface of the tread portion toward the tire radial-direction inner side; and a bent portion extending from the linear portion toward the tire radial-direction inner side, and the length of the linear portion increases from an extending length center portion of each widthwise sipe toward at least one of tread widthwise end portions.

A tread width TW and a cross-sectional width Wca of the carcass layer have a relationship such that 0.82≦TW/Wca≦0.92. A width Ws of the circumferential reinforcing layer and a cross-sectional width Wca of the carcass layer such that 0.60≦Ws/Wca≦0.70.

The working reinforcement (38) is arranged radially on the inside of the protective reinforcement (36). The ratio FmNSP/FmNST is greater than or equal to 0.27 and less than or equal to 0.90.

摘要: A flat or planar reinforcer shaped as a multicomposite strip (R1), which is defined by three main perpendicular directions: an axial direction (X), a transverse direction (Y), and a radial direction (Z), has a width LR in the Y direction of between 2 and 100 mm, and has a thickness ER in the Z direction of between 0.1 and 5 mm. A ratio LR/ER is greater than 3. The multicomposite strip includes a plurality of monofilaments made of a composite material. The monofilaments are oriented along the X direction and include filaments of a mineral material embedded in a thermoset resin having a glass transition temperature Tg1 that is greater than 70° C. The monofilaments are coated in a layer of thermoplastic material. The reinforcer may be used to reinforce a tire and a multilayer laminate, which may be used to reinforce a tire.
