摘要: A side impact system for a vehicle includes a trim panel and an armrest core supported by the trim panel. The armrest core is moveable translationally relative to the trim panel from a supporting position to a deployed position below the supporting position. An actuator is connected to the armrest core for moving the armrest core from the supporting position to the deployed position. In the supporting position, the armrest core may be adjacent a ribs of an occupant and, in the deployed position, the armrest core may be adjacent the hips of the occupant. The actuator may move the armrest core to the deployed position during a side impact of the vehicle to reduce the likelihood that the armrest core is pushed into the ribs of the occupant.

摘要: The three-dimensional positions of points on a surface of a vehicle foot well are digitally measured and are stored in a memory. The stored points are used to construct an electronic model of the vehicle foot well surface. The electronic model of the vehicle foot well surface in turn is used to construct an electronic three-dimensional image of the vehicle floor tray. A vehicle tray data file is created from the electronic three-dimensional image. The data file is in turn used to make a mold for a vehicle floor tray, and vehicle floor trays are manufactured by molding polymer material in the mold.

The pressure sensor module is assembled to a seat, and configured to measure a pressure value of the seat and transmit the pressure value to the control module. The detecting module is configured to obtain information of the environment around the vehicle and transmit the information to the control module. The control module is configured to determine whether there is at least one person sitting on the seat based on the pressure value on the seat, and to determine whether there is a passing vehicle based on the information of the environment surrounding the vehicle, and warn the passing vehicle when there is someone sitting on the seat and there is a passing vehicle.

摘要: Disclosed is a flexible impact protection member for mounting to a first member to protect either or both the first member and a second member that impacts thereon. The protection member has a several mobile portions, each being mounted end on end to each other. There is at least one tensile connection between adjacent mobile portions to lock each of the mobile portions to each other to form the flexible impact protection member. At least one portion of the flexible impact protection member can be se cured to the first member. The flexible impact protection member at least in part extends away from the first member when the first member is in a normal operation mode or orientation. The flexible impact protection member can deflect from its normal shape due to an impact event with the second member by the plurality of mobile portions moving relative to each other, such movement increasing tension in the tensile connection and therefore increasing stiffness of the flexible impact protection member.

摘要: A tibia force reduction wedge has a core, a coating upon the core, and fasteners upon the coating. The core has three surfaces forming a triangularly shaped cross section and two opposite spaced apart ends. The core has single or dual density closed cell energy absorbing expanded polyethylene. Following skiving upon the surfaces, the coating adheres to the exterior of the core. The invention has an anti fungal, non slip, polyurethane coating. Hook and loop fasteners mutually engage fasteners upon an existing surface of a vehicle deck for adjustment to the leg lengths of vehicle occupants. The wedge sees usage beneath seats inside a vehicle.

The partition apparatuses are generally lightweight, flexible, manufactured from inexpensive components, and are relatively easy to be installed into a vehicle interior and to removed therefrom.
