Abstract: A carrying assembly including a support member integrally molded with sealing covers that have a base connected via a bridge to a lid. The base is engaged with can top end and the lid is rotatable to seal the can. A four-pack of cans is secured together by a sealing member having an annular ring defining an aperture and four radial arms. Each base is engaged with two adjacent arms. A six-pack of can is secured together by a sealing member having a central strip with an annular ring at each end and a plurality of tabs extending between adjacent bases. Each annular ring defines an aperture therein. The annular rings are rotated relative to the strip to bring the apertures into alignment. A user will insert one or more fingers into the aperture in the four-pack or the aligned apertures in the six-pack to lift and carry the same.

Abstract: A tamper-evident container and method is disclosed. The tamper-evident container includes a base portion and a lid (or cover). In an untampered with state, one edge of the lid is removably connected to one edge of the base portion. Namely, the lid includes a tamper-evident tab, wherein the tamper-evident tab includes a grasping overhanging portion that is flanked by at least one breakable joint and wherein the lid is removably connected to the base portion via the breakable joint of the tamper-evident tab. Further, the tamper-evident container comprises an interlocking interface between the base portion and the lid. A method of using the tamper-evident container is provided.

Abstract: A removable lid for a drinking cup is described. The removable lid has a top side with an ellipsoidal recession having a bottom opening. A baffle wall extends from the perimeter of the bottom opening, and is configured to prevent a beverage from passing through the bottom opening upon sudden movement of the beverage. The ellipsoidal recession may be designed so that a hot beverage being consumed through the removable lid is exposed to more outside air for cooling purposes. The same ellipsoidal recession may be designed to funnel added ingredients into a beverage. The removable lid may have a stirrer opening so that stirrers may be inserted and taken out without lid removal. For additional strength, the surface of the removable lid may be textured to increase its moment of inertia. The bottom opening of the removable lid may be closed using a fitted blocking plug.

Abstract: A moisture-tight, re-sealable container is disclosed having a lid and body. The lid and body have a non-round seal that is substantially moisture tight when the lid is seated on the body, admitting less than 1000 micrograms per day of water to a package. A reinforcement stiffens or reinforces at least a portion of the seal against inward deflection along an axis defined by the minor diameter when the lid is seated on the body. Optionally the reinforcement is at least one spline subdividing the reservoir. A method of making dispensers for objects of varying length to customize particular dispensers to dispense such objects of a particular length is also disclosed.

Abstract: A lid and tray assembly includes at least two lift tabs and/or indentations at separated but not directly opposing locations about the lid periphery that can be actuated simultaneously or sequentially to provide two distinct locations from which initial disengagements can extend and merge to enable easy removal of the entire lid. Embodiments further include locations that can be pressed while corresponding tabs are lifted. Some embodiments include a peripheral skirt that is short enough to allow a user's fingers to pass beneath and support the tray sidewalls when lifting the tray-lid assembly from a horizontal surface, avoiding any need for the lid engagement to bear the weight of the tray and its contents. Lid-tray engagement can be by means of inserting a lid peripheral rim into a tray lip groove, or by engaging a lid rim undercut with a tray lip undercut.

Abstract: A removable container for powder or liquid includes a housing, a spilling mechanism and a bypass element. The housing hangs within a bottle and is capable of storing powder within the bottle while being sealed from a precursor liquid held within the bottle. The spilling mechanism enables the powder to spill out of the housing and into the precursor liquid and the bypass element provides the precursor liquid out of the bottle without mixing with the stored powder.

Abstract: A metal lid for a tobacco can is provided. The metal lid includes a circular lid top having a central recess and a shoulder. The shoulder extends radially outwardly from and vertically above the central recess. The side wall is unitarily formed with the shoulder, depends downwardly from the shoulder, and is disposed below the central recess of the lid top. The side wall includes a bead and a hem. The bead extends circumferentially around the side wall. The hem is formed from a distal portion of the side wall folded over onto an intermediate portion of the side wall. The hem functions as a guide, forms a safety edge, and permits the lid to be more easily grasped by a consumer.
