Abstract:
An elevator control of an elevator installation with at least two elevator cars that move independently of one another in a common elevator shaft has a control device for fixing a first common direction of travel of the at least two elevator cars and for reversing this first direction of travel on the basis of at least one internal destination floor selection and/or an external conveying request and/or a destination call only when all of the internal destination floor selections and/or all of the external conveying requests and/or all of the destination calls in the first direction of travel have been processed.
Abstract:
An elevator control of an elevator installation having at least two elevator cars movable independently of one another in a common elevator includes a control device for maintaining a defined minimum distance between two successive ones of the elevator cars and a defined maximum distance between two successive ones of the elevator cars.
Abstract:
An elevator group control system is provided which stably keeps cage's position in temporally equal interval condition over a long period of time. The present invention provides a system comprising: reference route generating means, which for each elevator, generates a reference route which the elevator should follow with respect to the time axis and position axis; and assignment means which selects an elevator for assignment to a generated hall call so as to make the actual trajectory of each elevator closer to its reference route. Since reference routes which guides the cage's trajectory into temporally equal interval condition are generated and car assignment is executed so as to make the respective cages follow their reference routes, it is possible to allow the cages to settle in temporally equal interval condition over a long period of time.
Abstract:
A group controller for controlling elevator cars in a building having a plurality of floors includes a traffic and traffic rate estimator for providing fuzzy estimates of traffic and traffic rate; an open loop fuzzy logic controller for providing a control parameter in response to the fuzzy estimates of traffic and traffic rate, the open loop fuzzy logic controller having membership functions for fuzzy sets of the control parameter; an adaptive controller for modifying the membership functions of the fuzzy sets of the control parameter in response to an elevator control system output variable; and an elevator dispatcher for controlling the operation of the elevator cars during single source traffic conditions in response to the control parameter.
Abstract:
A method of minimizing car bunching at any traffic flow level allocates closely adjacent stops to a given car which is favored by a variable, readjustable distributor bonus. The estimated lost time costs of all passengers are computed for each elevator and for each hall call, these costs are reduced by a variable distributor bonus concentrating adjacent stops in one car, and a hall call is then allocated for service to that elevator which displays the lowest, reduced estimated lost time costs. In order to assure the function of this method equally at high and low traffic levels, the variable distributor bonus (Bvn) is readjusted to the traffic flow level (Va) which serves as a tracking parameter by means of a tracking function according to the relationship Bvn=Bv.F(Va) and the readjusted variable distributor bonus is defined thereby. The tracking function F(Va) is determined by one of artificial intelligence methods and expert programs. By the dependence of the distributor bonus on traffic flow, the desired small local bunching of elevator cars is an optimum for every traffic level. This method is applicable to a plurality of different allocation criteria, service requests and tracking parameters.

Abstract:
An elevator group control system includes a reference route generating portion, which for each elevator, generates a reference route which the elevator should follow with respect to the time axis and position axis; and an assignment portion which selects an elevator for assignment to a generated hall call so as to make the actual trajectory of each elevator closer to its reference route. Reference routes which guide the cage's trajectory into temporally equal interval condition are generated, and car assignment is executed to allow the cages to settle in temporally equal interval condition over a long period of time.

Abstract:
A control device for a double-deck elevator system having an upper deck and a lower deck, includes a group control device for assigning the upper and lower decks to respond to car calls from the upper and lower decks and boarding hall calls from a plurality of floors. The control device further includes an assignment control device for determining whether a plurality of the car calls and boarding hall calls can be responded to simultaneously and for directing said group control device to reassign the upper and lower decks to respond to the plurality of car calls and boarding hall calls simultaneously.
