摘要: A motor-driven fuel pump comprising a pumping unit, a brushless electric motor for driving the pumping unit, a control circuit for controlling power supply to the brushless motor and a pump casing for encasing the pumping unit, the brushless motor and the control circuit. The control circuit comprises a current limiting circuit which inhibits flow to the brushless motor of a current above an amperage which is higher than an amperage of a normal operating current and lower than an amperage of a current which would flow at starting of the brushless motor without the current limiting circuit.

摘要: An electromagnetic pump has a pump housing. The pump housing consists of a cup-like housing body with an outlet cylindrical portion at the center thereof and a lid member having an inlet cylindrical portion at the center thereof. The lid member is fixed to the cup-like housing body. The pump also includes a nonmagnetic sleeve member, a magnetic plunger slidably fitted in the nonmagnetic sleeve member, a return spring for biasing the plunger to a delivery side, inlet and outlet pipes, a coil bobbin arranged around the sleeve member, a transistor assembly consisting of a transistor and a heat sink, a printed circuit board, a holder mounted above the printed circuit board, a leaf spring arranged between the housing body and the holder. A plurality of studs extend on the outer side surface of the flange of the coil bobbin on which the transistor assembly is mounted and on an inner side surface of the holder. The transistor assembly, the printed circuit board and the holder are sequentially stacked through the studs with respect to the coil bobbin and are biased by the leaf spring toward the lid member.

摘要: A fuel pump control system controls the operating speed of the fuel pump to control the fuel pressure in a fuel supply circuit for a internal combustion engine. The control system includes a main control circuit constantly connecting a fuel pump driver to a vehicle battery which acts as a power source and a normally-open auxiliary circuit. The main control circuit adjusts the power supply to the fuel pump driver to adjust the operating speed of the fuel pump to either a first maximum or a second minimum speed. The auxiliary circuit establishes electrical communication between the fuel pump driver and the battery when a demand for increasing of the fuel pressure in the supply line and thus for enrichment of the air/fuel mixture beyond a predetermined value is detected on the basis of one or more preselected engine operating parameters.

摘要: A fuel injection system employs injectors having energizing coils and means for generating an actuating pulse to the injector. The system includes a correction means for applying a correction to the injector actuaing pulse to correct for the effect of at least one incidental system variable on the effective response of the injector to the actuating pulse. The incidental system variables are: the impedance of the energizng coil, the specific resistance of the wire used in the coil and the voltage supply in the fuel injection system. The correction means may be a constant current source drivng an output transistor biased to operate in a proportional conduction region.

A vehicle kill switch comprising: a first foot actuatable floor mounted switch; a first solenoid in signal communication with the first foot actuatable floor mounted switch; a ground in signal communication with the first foot actuatable floor mounted switch; a first fuel valve in operable communication with the first solenoid; a second foot actuatable floor mounted switch; a second solenoid in signal communication with the second foot actuatable floor mounted switch and in communication with the first foot actuatable floor mounted switch; a ground in signal communication with the second foot actuatable floor mounted switch; a second fuel valve in operable communication with the second solenoid; where when the first switch is closed, the first solenoid and second solenoid become in signal communication with ground, and the first solenoid and second solenoid closes the first fuel valve and second fuel valve, respectively, which in turns stops the flow of fuel to the vehicle engine; and where when the second switch is closed, the first solenoid and second solenoid become in signal communication with ground, and the first solenoid and second solenoid closes the first fuel valve and second fuel valve, respectively, which in turns stops the flow of fuel to the vehicle engine. A vehicle kill switch retrofit kit comprising: a foot actuatable floor mounted switch, the foot actuatable floor mounted switch comprising a first contact located on a first side of the switch, and a second contact located on a second side of the switch; a first wire connected at a first end to a first contact on the foot actuatable floor mounted switch, with a second end configured to attach to an vehicle component; a second wire connected at a first end to a second contact on the foot actuatable floor mounted switch, with a second end configured to attach to an vehicle component; and a floor mounting bracket configured to attach the foot actuatable floor mounted switch to the floor of a vehicle.

摘要: A circuit housing portion integrally molded above a lid main body portion has a bottom portion, which forms a vent space with the lid main body portion, and a vent hole, which extends through a portion between a protection space and an external space in the side portion. In a terminal, in which an intermediate portion is embedded in a bottom portion to extend between a fuel pump and a drive circuit through the bottom portion, an interface between the bottom portion and the intermediate portion is exposed to a protection space above the vent hole. A liquid-impermeable and gas-permeable membrane is mounted on an outer surface of the side portion to cover the vent hole to allow the fuel vapor to be discharged from the vent hole to the external space and to restrict liquid from entering the vent hole from the external space.
