    摘要: A fuel supply device for an engine includes a fuel tank positioned such that, at least when the fuel tank is filled with fuel, a first fuel level in the fuel tank is higher than a minimum required second fuel level in a float chamber. A bypass passage that bypasses a fuel pump is provided, and an on-off valve is disposed in the bypass passage. The fuel supply device is capable of improving a starting characteristic of the engine during an off period of the fuel pump without increasing a head difference between the first and second fuel levels.

    摘要: An arrangement for limiting the temperature in a carburetor etc. of an engine prevents evaporation of fuel at a temporary stop in the operation of the engine. A receptacle (30) integrated with the carburetor contains a material (31), e.g. paraffin, with a melting point over the normal operating temperature. At a temperature above this melting point the material absorbs melting heat from the environment causing a limitation of the temperature. In this limited temperature the fuel evaporates much slower and a direct start with the remaining fuel after the operating stop is quite possible.

    摘要: Disclosed is a fuel feed device of an internal combustion engine. The fuel supply conduit communicating the carburetor and the fuel tank is arranged in the carburetor for cooling the carburetor and for vaporizing the low boiling components in the fuel only when the temperature of the engine is higher than a predetermined level. The fuel flowing out from the fuel supply passage located in the carburetor is introduced into a low boiling component separator. In this separator, the low boiling components in the fuel are removed, and then the fuel consisting of the high boiling components is fed into the carburetor to prevent the occurrence of an abnormal fuel metering operation under a high-temperature condition.

    摘要: A recoil starter for an internal combustion engine has a housing with a pulley carried at least in part for rotation therein. The pulley is arranged in operable communication with a crankshaft of the engine. A pull cord is wound about the pulley with one end of the cord being arranged to be pulled by a user to rotate the pulley. An actuator is carried for rotation in response to rotation of the pulley. A pump is arranged for actuation in response to rotation of the actuator to provide fresh liquid fuel to a carburetor and remove fuel vapor and stale fuel from the carburetor and deliver it to a fuel tank prior to starting the engine.
