    摘要: A method is for starting a combustion engine having a pull-rope starter. A fuel/air mixture is fed to the engine via an intake channel. The mixture is ignited by a spark plug. The combustion drives the piston downward and drives a crankshaft rotationally. The fuel system has a fuel channel opening into the intake channel. An electric fuel valve is open in its currentless state and closes a fuel channel only when an operating voltage is applied. An electronic control unit actuates the fuel valve and triggers an ignition spark and is utilized by a generator to supply energy to the control unit, the fuel valve and the ignition device. To prevent excessive enriching of the fuel/air mixture during starting, the energy, which is generated at the beginning of the rotation of the crankshaft, is used to first close the fuel valve before the control unit triggers an ignition spark.

    摘要: An engine has a carburetor that includes a bowl for fuel, a venturi in which the fuel is mixed with air, and a tube for carrying fuel from the bowl to the venturi. A solenoid valve is connected to the tube to control the flow of fuel to the venturi. An engine ignition system includes a coil assembly in which electricity is generated by a permanent magnet driven by the engine passing hear the coil assembly. A transformer includes a primary winding connected to the coil assembly, and a secondary winding. A storage capacitor and a diode are coupled in series across the secondary winding and a switch couples the solenoid valve to said storage capacitor. When an operator desires to stop the engine, the switch is closed which applies electricity from the capacitor to the solenoid valve to reduce an amount of fuel flowing through the tube.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a membrane carburetor for an internal combustion engine such as a two-stroke engine having an intake for drawing the mixture in by suction. The membrane carburetor has a venturi section wherein the mixture is formed. A main nozzle opening opens forward of a throttle flap and an idle nozzle opening opens rearward of the throttle flap both viewed in flow direction. Both openings are connected via channels to a fuel-filled control chamber to which fuel flows via an inflow channel. An inlet valve is mounted in the inflow channel and has a valve body disposed opposite a valve seat fixed in the housing. The inlet valve is actuated in the opening direction via a control lever by a control membrane delimiting the control chamber. Transverse accelerations are prevented from leading to an opening of the inlet valve by providing a sealing surface on the valve body which coacts with an annular sealing surface disposed on the valve seat and lying parallel to the flat sealing surface on the valve body. The flat sealing surface lies essentially at right angles to the opening direction.
