    摘要: A retort heating apparatus for processing a feed material includes a heating chamber bounded at least in part by a side wall. A plurality of baffles are at least partially disposed within the heating chamber. Each baffle includes an elongated body having a top surface, at least a portion of the top surface being arched. The plurality of baffles are vertically and horizontally spaced apart so that substantially all of the feed material that vertically passes through the heating chamber is horizontally displaced as the feed material passes by the baffles. Systems are also provided for heating the feed material within the heating chamber.

    摘要: A grain turner (101)of the present invention is adapted for use with a grain dryer having an inner dryer wall (7) and an outer dryer wall (9) spaced therefrom and defining a vertically extending grain path (11) therebetween. A grain turner (101) of the present invention is disposed within the grain path for exchanging (turning) grain from the inner portion of the grain path to the outer portion of the grain path and vice versa and for exchanging grain widthwise within the grain path. The grain turner comprises a vertical wall (109) disposed between the inner and outer dryer walls. The grain turner further has at least one pair inclined plates (119, 125) with one of the plates (119) being on the inside of the vertical wall and with the other of the inclined plates (125) being on the outside of the vertical wall. Plate (119) is inclined downwardly in a first widthwise direction and the other of the inclined plates is inclined downwardly in the opposite widthwise direction. The lower end of the first inclined plate (119) extends downwardly and outwardly so as to deliver grain flowing downwardly thereon to a location within the grain path substantially beneath the second inclined plate (125). The lower end of inclined plate (125) extends downwardly and inwardly so as to deliver grain to a location within the grain path substantially beneath the first inclined plate. In this manner, the grain flowing down the first inclined plate is turned from the inside to the outside of the grain path and the grain flowing down the second inclined plate is turned from the outside to the inside of the grain path. Further, the grain flowing down the inclined plates is rotated about a substantially vertical axis within the grain path so as to effect the widthwise exchange of grain from one width location to another as the grain is turned.A method of turning grain is also disclosed.

    摘要: The present application discloses an apparatus for manufacturing high-quality coal products. In certain embodiments, the apparatus comprises a housing and a heat conducting mechanism disposed within the housing. The heat conducting mechanism is provided with a heat conducting medium inlet proximate a material outlet end and a thermal conduction medium outlet proximate a material inlet end. The heat conducting mechanism comprises multiple groups of heat conducting units and the heating conducting unit comprises a plurality of heat conducting tubes. The heat conducting tubes are in communication with the heat conducting medium inlet and outlet. A plurality of fins inclining downward relative to the vertical direction are arranged along the longitudinal direction between adjacent heat conducting tubes. The present application also discloses a system for manufacturing high-quality coal products, comprising a material feed apparatus, a high-quality coal product production apparatus, a heat-conducting medium supply apparatus, and a recycling processing apparatus.

    摘要: A process and apparatus for shelled almond pasteurization includes counter flowing raw shelled almonds in saturated steam for a four second interval to elevate the exterior surface of the shelled almond to a temperature exceeding 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Thereafter, the pasteurized almonds are counter flowed for a two second interval in dry air before discharge to further processing or to containers for shipment. Almond taste, texture, and appearance are unchanged during the pasteurization process. The apparatus includes a steam ladder (1) defining downward paths which alternately vary the major surfaces of the shelled almonds to exposure to upwardly counter flowing steam, and an underlying drying ladder (2) for drying the raw shelled almonds upon exit from the steam ladder.

    摘要: A steam injection device for a vertical steam conditioning chamber for particulate material has one or more hollow modules having substantially conical tops and open bottoms arrayed along a support column extending from below the conditioning chamber to a point above the chamber. Steam for conditioning is supplied preferably through the support column in such a way that it uniformly permeates the particles along the height of the conditioning chamber as well as across its cross section. Additionally, by employing modules having other than symmetrically conical tops, it is possible to impart an irregular flow path to the particles being conditioned in the chamber. This permits uniform exposure of the particles to the steam in the conditioning chamber and, thus, promotes uniform conditioning.
