    摘要: A vehicle headlamp has a first incandescent filament, which is preferably used to generate a main beam, and a second incandescent filament, which is preferably used to generate daytime running light, the incandescent filaments being fixed within a lamp vessel—which is provided with a lamp base—using three supply lead wires, which are arranged in a common plane, with the result that they are arranged one above the other when the vehicle headlamp is suitably oriented, the bottom supply lead wire and the top supply lead wire being used to fix the first incandescent filament and the top supply lead wire and the middle supply lead wire being used to arrange the second incandescent filament such that it is offset in a parallel manner with respect to the axis of the first incandescent filament and is above the axis of the first incandescent filament.

    摘要: A red automotive incandescent lamp having a sealed lamp envelope formed from an amber glass, a pair of filaments located within the lamp envelope, and a red pigmented coating applied to an external surface of the envelope. The amber glass provides initial filtering of the shorter wavelengths of visible light, so that the red pigment has to filter out less light and therefore can be made less opaque. As a result, the lamp produces the desired red colored light at a total light output that meets applicable SAE and ECE requirements for automotive lamps.

When lit, high and low beam distribution patterns are formed by entire-surface reflection light distribution control of the reflecting surface. The light source bulb is used for right traffic and for left traffic. A second support wire is, in a side view of said light source bulb, bent to rearward of the rear end of said high-beam filament and positioned above the lower end of said low-beam filament.

    摘要: The invention relates to an incandescent lamp with at least one incandescent coil which can be used for generating a high beam in a motor vehicle headlight, which lamp is additionally capable of performing the function of a daytime running light. The use of a dimmed high beam as an energy-saving daytime running light (DRL) has the disadvantage of a light distribution belonging to the high beam which is unsuitable for the function of a daytime running light. Furthermore, the high beam, if it is to fulfill the requirements as regards the maximum luminous intensity of the daytime running light, would have to be so strongly dimmed that the halogen cycle in the bulb of the incandescent lamp can no longer be maintained. This will lead to blackening at the bulb inside and a shorter lamp life. To create an incandescent lamp which renders possible an improved realization of a daytime running light function in a motor vehicle headlight, an incandescent lamp is presented with at least a first incandescent coil for generating a high beam in a motor vehicle headlight and at least a second incandescent coil for generating a daytime running beam in a motor vehicle headlight.

    摘要: A lamp capsule for use in a vehicle headlamp includes a lamp envelope having a tubular portion. First and second spaced-apart filaments are mounted in the lamp envelope for emitting light when energized by electrical energy. The lamp capsule further includes one or more light-attenuating axial stripes on the lamp envelope. The axial stripes are positioned on the lamp envelope for blocking light emitted by the first filament and reflected by the second filament. The lamp capsule may further include light-attenuating rings at or near opposite ends of the lamp envelope for defining upper and lower boundaries of a clear region of the lamp envelope. A filament support structure may include support leads located in the plane of the filaments for limiting light blockage and stray reflections.

    摘要: A dual-filament reflective infrared bulb has high and low beam filaments in spaced adjacency along a longitudinal bulb axis. A longitudinal envelope structure encloses each filament in a separate substantially ellipsoidal chamber. The outer surface of the envelope structure is coated with dichroic layers and provides focused reflectance of infrared radiation back onto the filaments. The common ground lead of the assembly passes through one of the chambers substantially off of the longitudinal axis and thereby off of the focal axis of the infrared radiation. A lead emanates out of one longitudinal end of the envelope structure and is formed to return in spaced adjacency toward the opposite longitudinal end. A bulb shield is fastened to the return portion of the lead and intermediate one of the chambers and the leads.
