摘要: An infrared light radiation device includes a radiation unit and a condenser. The radiation unit includes a heater and a metamaterial structure. The metamaterial structure is able to radiate, when heat energy is input from the heater, infrared light having a peak wavelength of a non-Planck distribution. The condenser includes at least one condensing lens that concentrates and transmits toward outside the infrared light radiated from the radiation unit.

摘要: An apparatus for generating light may be comprised of a light source with a lens interposed in a light path from the light source. The lens may be comprised of two or more sections wherein at least one section may be comprised of smart glass. Electrical circuitry may be configured to control a transparency state of the smart glass lens sections. Another embodiment may have two reflectors wherein one of the reflectors may be interposed between the light source and the other reflector and may be comprised of smart glass with a transparent state and a reflective state so that two different reflection patterns may be created. A method for illumination wherein at least one area's illumination is controlled by a section of smart glass is also disclosed.

摘要: A lamp includes a reflector having a passageway opening to a heel of the reflector, a lamp capsule having a lead that extends rearward through the passageway, a conductive clip that spans a diameter of the heel and that has tabs that extend forward at opposite sides of the heel and an arm that extends rearward, the arm being attached to a portion of the lead that projects out of the passageway, and a base that is attached to the heel and that engages the tabs at the opposite sides of the heel. The arm holds the lamp capsule in place and electrically connects the lamp capsule to the base. The arm may be a semi-detached central portion of the clip that is bent to be substantially parallel to an axis of the lead.

摘要: A lamp (1, 11, 14, 17) for a motor vehicle headlight is described. The lamp (1, 11, 14, 17) comprises a bulb (3) surrounding a light source (4) and a lamp base (2) arranged at an end of the bulb (3) and serving to support the lamp (1, 11, 14, 17) inside a reflector (20) of the headlight. At least one lens structure (7, 12, 15, 18) is present in or at an upper side (O) and/or lower side (U) of the bulb (3). This lens structure (6, 12, 15, 18) is constructed such that at least a portion of the light radiated by the light source (4) in the direction of a region of the reflector (20) close to the lamp base is redirected into a region of the reflector lying farther to the front.
