Abstract: Organic light emitting devices (OLEDs) with emissive layers containing both phosphorescent Pt complexes and fluorescent emitters, are described. The devices presented employ both fluorescent and phosphorescent Pt complexes in order to redistribute the excited states to primarily reside on known stable fluorescent emitters to achieve high device operational stability but maintain the high efficiency characteristic of phosphorescent OLEDs.

Abstract: An organic compound is represented by General Formula (G1). In General Formula (G1), X1 to X4 each independently represent any one of groups represented by General Formulae (g1-1) to (g1-3). Two or three of X1 to X4 represent the group represented by General Formula (g1-1) or (g1-2). R1 to R14 each independently represent any one of hydrogen (including deuterium), a straight-chain alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, a branched alkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group having 3 to 12 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group having 4 to 10 carbon atoms and having a bridged structure, a trialkylsilyl group having 3 to 12 carbon atoms, a alkoxy group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, and a fluoroalkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms. Ar1 to Ar4 each independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group having 3 to 30 carbon atoms.

Abstract: A light-emitting element including a fluorescent material as a light-emitting material and having high emission efficiency is provided. The light-emitting element includes a pair of electrodes and an EL layer provided between the pair of electrodes. The EL layer includes a host material and a guest material. The host material is capable of exhibiting thermally activated delayed fluorescence at room temperature. The guest material is capable of exhibiting fluorescence. The second triplet excitation energy level of the guest material is higher than or equal to the lowest singlet excitation energy level of the guest material.

Abstract: A green phosphorescent light-emitting device with a long lifetime is provided. The light-emitting device includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a light-emitting layer. The light-emitting layer is between the first electrode and the second electrode. The light-emitting layer includes a first organic compound, a second organic compound, and a phosphorescent light-emitting substance. The first organic compound includes a heteroaromatic ring skeleton and an aromatic hydrocarbon group. The second organic compound includes a bicarbazole skeleton. The lowest triplet excited level of the first organic compound is derived from only the aromatic hydrocarbon group. The energy of the lowest triplet excited level of the second organic compound is higher than or equal to 2.20 eV and lower than or equal to 2.65 eV.
