摘要： A plastic resin hole plug to fill a hole in a flat thin panel comprises a one-piece unitary injection-molded plastic member having a top dome closure wall whose bottom surface has a flat ledge which rests on the panel and an undercut ring. The plug has a tubular shank portion which extends from the top closure wall portion and whose outer face retains the plug in the hole. The shank's outer face has a first circumferential band canted inwardly and a second circumferential band joined thereto which is canted outwardly. At least one, and preferably two, side flats are formed on the shank portion, which flats flex inward when the plug is inserted into the hole.

The cap has matching threads molded into the cap inner wall. The cap is pushed over the bleeder valve and then screwed tightly against the brake housing face. Serrations on the cap sealing face may be filled with liquid sealant compressing against the casting. Vertical serrations are formed on the outer surface of the cap to provide a hand grip for screwing the cap in place.

摘要： In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a novel and improved snap-on plug for an apertured panel. The snap-on plug comprises a shank and a flange extending laterally from one end of the shank. The shank is hollow and adapted for insertion within a complementary panel aperture. A groove is formed in the outer surface of the shank at a location adjacent the flange and adapted for engagement with a panel portion around the aperture. The shank is provided with an inner surface portion upon which a force is applied when the plug is to be inserted into the panel aperture. The inner surface is inclined with respect a plane in which the groove is positioned such that upon insertion of the plug into the complementary panel aperture the groove is gradually brought into engagement with the panel.
