摘要： A breaker roll apparatus assembly for minimizing coil breaks in strips has a frame, a center roll extending from a rail mounted to the frame and actuated by a hydraulic cylinder, and a plurality of side rolls positioned on opposite sides of the center roll. The plurality of rolls extend from rails mounted to the frame and are also actuated by hydraulic cylinders. A coil mounting member uncoils a coil of strip through the assembly into contact with the center roll and at least one of the side rolls. Each of the rolls can be raised and lowered to accommodate various diameters and widths of coil.

摘要： A wire straightening apparatus that straightens kinks of a wire that is fed along a wire feeding path includes one or a plurality of straightening mechanisms. Each straightening mechanism includes a plurality of first straightening rollers and one or a plurality of second straightening rollers. Each roller has a groove along its outer periphery, the groove gradually deepening toward a bottom portion. The bottom portion of the groove of each first straightening roller is spaced from the wire feeding path in a first direction, and the bottom portion of the groove of each second straightening roller is spaced from the wire feeding path in a second direction opposite to the first direction. With this structure, the wire can be made to follow a path that meanders as viewed from a direction perpendicular to axes of the straightening rollers.

摘要： An improved method for processing coiled metal sheet is provided, wherein a line threading device is inserted between the metal sheet and the process line surface at the leading edge of the metal sheet. The device is rigid and adapted to glide easily along the process line surface when propelled in a forward direction. The device has an upper surface that includes a plurality of grooves that run perpendicular to the forward direction, and the leading edge of the sheet, when it curves toward the process line surface, does not come into contact with a recess of the process line surface, but instead becomes lodged in a groove of the device, which guides the sheet along the process line surface, and does not impede forward progress.

摘要： A wire comb and method for assembling an organized bundle, such as a bundled cable, from a plurality of strands using the wire comb. The wire comb includes an inner component as a hub and an outer component as a collar. The hub has slots configured to accept the plurality of strands lengthwise, and at least one projection that extends beyond an outer perimeter of the hub. The collar has at least one recess configured to interface with the projection of the hub for connecting the hub to the collar. The collar also has an opening that allows the plurality of strands to be inserted into the collar prior to connecting the hub with the collar. As such, combing can be accomplished without requiring that the wire combing commence from either end of the strands.
