摘要: A coil for a transformer assembly is provided. The coil extends circumferentially around a longitudinal axis. The coil comprises a foil winding arrangement and a conductor element. The foil winding arrangement extends circumferentially around the longitudinal axis and has four edge regions. The conductor element covers at least partially at least one of the edge regions of the foil winding arrangement. The conductor element allows for a reduction in an electric field that arises during an operation of the transformer assembly at the edges of the foil winding arrangement. In this manner, a performance improvement in partial discharge tests and lightning impulse tests can be achieved.

摘要: The present invention relates to an inner-conductor contact element for an angled connector. The present invention also relates to a method for producing this element.
An inner-conductor contact element (1) for an angled connector (22) has a crimp region (3) which is designed to be connectable to an inner conductor (16) of a cable (17), and an interface region (2) which is designed to be connectable to an inner-conductor contact element of a counterpart connector corresponding to the angled connector. The inner-conductor contact element (1) also has a connection region (4) which connects the crimp region (3) to the interface region (2). The inner-conductor contact element is formed in one piece. The connection region (4) has a first transverse extent and a second transverse extent which is smaller, preferably many times smaller, than the first transverse extent. The connection region (4) has an angular shape in a plane formed by the first transverse extent and a longitudinal extent of the connection region (4).-

摘要: A contact assembly for an electrical connector includes an array of contacts including signal contacts and ground contacts. The ground contacts are interspersed with the signal contacts to provide electrical shielding between corresponding signal contacts. Each signal contact includes a signal contact body having a first side, a second side opposite the first side, a first edge between the first and second sides, and a second edge between the first and second sides opposite the first edge. The signal contact body includes a signal mating end and a signal terminating end. Each signal contact includes a mating ball formed at the signal mating end of the signal contact body. The mating ball is generally spherical shaped. The mating ball and the signal contact body are a homogeneous structure.

摘要: High current, light, and low-cost electrical power terminals that can withstand many mating cycles. A socket or a pin may be formed from a monolithic metal sheet, which may be stamped and formed into a terminal with a hollow portion, such as a cylindrical barrel. Features defining the radius of the barrel may be stamped in the sheet with high precision. The socket and the pin are shaped such that the positions of the mating contact surfaces of each terminal, and therefore the interference between them, are positioned based on these features. The terminals may have a low and precise interference, enabling the terminals to be designed with a low contact force that enables a long lifespan, such as 10,000 mating cycles. The terminals may have a high current capacity, such as 50 A or higher, and may be used in high current applications, such as a charging station or an electric vehicle, or in an application that calls for charging or discharging a battery.
