Abstract: A simultaneous client wireless device includes wireless modules configured to perform communication functions of lower MAC (media access control) and PHY (physical) layers for wireless radios operable in multiple wireless bands. The simultaneous client wireless device also includes a communication module configured as an intermediate layer between the lower MAC layer of the wireless modules and a network layer. The communication module is configured to use an application programming interface to retrieve information from the lower MAC layer and write information to the lower MAC layer of each wireless module, perform communication functions of an upper MAC layer for the wireless bands, and manage simultaneous communications over the wireless bands. The communications over the wireless bands can use a local area network protocol.

Abstract: A wireless station implements a technique to reduce the occurrence of collisions between messages in a wireless network by dynamically modify a message interval during a communication session, based on received information indicative of beacon timing. Abstract: A radio frequency front end module is provided for a high power capability and a high signal band selectivity. The front end module includes an external filter and an integrated circuit coupled with the external filter via two external filter leads. The integrated circuit includes a transmit-receive switch, a power amplifier and a low noise amplifier. The transmit-receive switch alternates between coupling an antenna port to a transmit port and coupling the antenna port to a receive port. The power amplifier amplifies a modulated radio frequency signal. The low noise amplifier amplifies a received radio frequency signal when the antenna port is coupled to the receive port. The external filter can be replaced to adapt to various requirements of signal frequency bands, without the need of modifying the layout of the integrated circuit.

Abstract: A method for selecting signal channel for a wireless networking device is provided. The method collects WLAN and non-WLAN interference information on the candidate channels. The method then determines a weighted grade for each of the candidate channels based on the collected WLAN and non-WLAN interference information. A channel is selected among the candidate channels based on the weighted grades. The method further adjusts WLAN transmit parameter of the wireless networking device based on the collected WLAN and non-WLAN interference information.

Abstract: The disclosure is related to a multi-band wireless station, e.g., a wireless access point, that includes more than one wireless radio in the same frequency band. The wireless station operates at multiple frequency bands, e.g., 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Further, the wireless station includes multiple radios in the same frequency band. For example, the wireless station can have two radios for the 5 GHz band—one for a low 5 GHz band and another for high 5 GHz band. If the client station is connecting to the 5 GHz band, it can either connect to the first sub-band or the second sub-band of the 5 GHz. The wireless station can decide the sub-band to which a particular client station has to be assigned based on a number of assignment attributes, e.g., client station attributes and the sub-band attributes.

Abstract: In a repeater, a mechanism checks multiple parameters and makes repeater bandwidth, radio configuration, and ADC clock speed adjustments. multiple repeater parameters are checked and the repeater bandwidth is optimized based upon any of adjusting bandwidth based on best throughput; adjusting bandwidth based on Internet speed; adjusting mapping based on overlapping access points (106); adjusting bandwidth based on the client's range; adjusting ADC clock speed; adjusting transmit (TX) radio setting based on associated clients; adjusting receive (RX) radio setting based on associated clients; client type considerations; and adjusting CPU settings based on clients or backhaul. In embodiments, for example, bandwidth can be adjusted from 80 MHz to 40 MHz to 20 MHz or a smaller bandwidth, e.g. 5 MHz, for an 802.11ac/11ax/11ac device. For an 802.11n/a/b/g/ah device, bandwidth can adjusted using from 40 MHz to 20 MHz to a smaller bandwidth, e.g. 1 MHz, 2 MHz, or 5 MHz.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and embodiments related to wireless communication in an environment with electromagnetic interference. In some embodiments, a wireless communication parameter of a wireless device, such as a wireless local area network (WLAN) device, is set to a first value, and a first frame or packet is wirelessly transmitted or received by the wireless device. An electromagnetic signal that interferes with wireless transmission is detected. Based on the detection of the wireless transmission interference, the wireless communication parameter is set to a second value to increase communication throughput, and a second frame or packet is wirelessly transmitted or received.
