Abstract:
A method of protecting a structure from a fire. The method comprises covering the structure with a fire-retardant liquid absorbent material and spraying fire-retardant liquid on the fire-retardant liquid absorbent material. In a second embodiment, there is a method wherein the fire-retardant liquid absorbent material is draped over with a high temperature insulation material in segments forming seams, after the fire-retardant liquid absorbent material is sprayed. A third method comprises layering a structure with a high temperature insulation material and then layering said high temperature insulation layer with a liquid absorbing layer.

The present invention provides for organometallic and organic dopants suitable for use in organic carrier transporting materials. Also provided are organic light emitting devices containing doped organic carrier transporting materials.
Abstract:
Novel combination of materials and device architectures for organic light emitting devices is provided. An organic light emitting device, is provided, having an anode, a cathode, and an emissive layer disposed between the anode and the cathode. The emissive layer includes a host and a phosphorescent emissive dopant having a peak emissive wavelength less than 500 nm, and a radiative phosphorescent lifetime less than 1 microsecond. Preferably, the phosphorescent emissive dopant includes a ligand having a carbazole group.
Abstract:
A haptic assembly configured to control a plurality of windows on a vehicle. The assembly includes a haptic device configured to provide haptic feedback to a user when switching between the plurality of windows, and when moving a selected window of the plurality of windows between an open position and a closed position. The assembly can also include a graphical user interface (GUI) configured to display icons that represent each of the plurality of windows, and display a position of the selected window, wherein either the haptic device or the GUI can be used to switch between each of the plurality of windows to be controlled.
Abstract:
The present invention provides methods for the purification of cell-associated viruses from adherent cells (e.g., MDCK or Vero cells). In particular, the present invention provides purification methods for the production of immunogenic compositions comprising a live attenuated cell-associated virus (e.g., an attenuated respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) or cold-adapted, and/or temperature sensitive influenza virus) that result in levels of host cell DNA (HCD), host cell protein (HCP) and non-specific endonuclease (e.g., Benzonase), which are below the specifications required by regulatory agencies. The immunogenic compositions can be used to actively immunize subjects or to generate antibodies for a variety of uses, including passive immunization and diagnostic immunoassays.

Examples disclosed herein relate to systems and methods, which may receive wagers on one or more paylines. The disclosure relates to an electronic gaming system which allows a player to make one or more inputs via human gesturing, and associated methods.
Abstract:
A piping analysis system capable of generating proposed piping support assemblies when off-the-self part is unavailable is presented. Contemplated analysis systems comprise a piping modeling system, which models a piping infrastructure as piping nodes having attributes describing the nature of the nodes. A piping support assembly design engine aggregates the attribute information from piping nodes and correlates the attributes with known materials that might be applicable for constructing the proposed assemblies. The design engine generates a proposed assembly and configures an output device to present the assembly along with a likelihood representing feasibility that the proposed assembly can in fact be designed or manufactured.
Abstract:
A surfactant component and a composition comprising the same are provided. The surfactant component comprises a first surfactant, a second surfactant, and water. The first surfactant comprises an alcohol alkoxylate having a high degree of alkoxylation of greater than 30 to 150. The first surfactant is present in an amount of from 1% to 50% by weight based on the total weight of the surfactant component. The second surfactant is present in an amount of at least 5% by weight based on the total weight of the surfactant component. Water is present in an amount of from 20% to 90% by weight based on the total weight of the surfactant component. The second surfactant enables higher concentrations of the first surfactant in water to be achieved without gelling than what has been accomplished to date.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel MDCK cells which can be to grow viruses, e.g., influenza viruses, in cell culture to higher titer than previously possible. The MDCK cells can be adapted to serum-free culture medium. The present invention further relates to cell culture compositions comprising the MDCK cells and cultivation methods for growing the MDCK cells. The present invention further relates to methods for producing influenza viruses in cell culture using the MDCK cells of the invention.
Abstract:
The present invention provides novel serum-free cell culture medium and methods for cultivating MDCK cells. In particular, non-tumorigenic MDCK cells. The present invention also provides methods for producing influenza viruses (e.g., particularly cold-adapted, and/or temperature sensitive, and/or attenuated influenza viruses) that eliminate the need for a cell culture medium exchange step. The novel medium and methods are useful to grow influenza viruses, in cell culture to high titer. The present invention further provides purification methods for purifying influenza viruses with high overall recovery of live virus and result in levels of host cell DNA (HCD), host cell protein (HCP) and non-specific endonuclease (e.g., Benzonase), which are below the specifications required by regulatory agencies. The immunogenic compositions can be used to actively immunize subjects or to generate antibodies for a variety of uses, including passive immunization and diagnostic immunoassays.
