Abstract: An encoder includes circuitry and memory coupled to the circuitry. The circuitry: assigns a picture level slice index and a subpicture level slice index to each of the slices, the picture level slice index being assigned at a picture level, the subpicture level slice index being assigned at a subpicture level; for each of the slices, encodes the subpicture level slice index of the slice into a slice header of the slice; and encodes each of the slices into a bitstream. The picture level slice index assigned to a current slice to be processed that is included in a current subpicture to be processed is calculated by adding (i) the subpicture level slice index of the current slice and (ii) a total number of slices included in one or more subpictures that have been encoded prior to the current subpicture out of the subpictures.

Abstract: A communication apparatus includes a PHY frame generating circuit that generates a PHY frame including either of a short Sector Sweep frame and a Sector Sweep frame; and an array antenna that selects, based on the PHY frame, any sector from among a plurality of sectors and transmits the PHY frame. In a case where, in the PHY frame including the short Sector Sweep frame, a Direction field of the short Sector Sweep frame indicates Initiator Sector Sweep, the PHY frame generating circuit replaces a Short Sector Sweep Feedback field indicating a number of a selected best short Sector Sweep with a Short Scrambled Basic Service Set ID field indicating an abbreviated address generated from an address of a destination communication apparatus.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a user equipment, UE, comprising the following. A processor determines a first data volume threshold and determines to transmit small data, available for transmission, in an inactive state or in a connected state, based on a volume of the available small data and the first data volume threshold. A transmitter performs transmission of the available small data. The first data volume threshold is to be used for determining whether to perform the transmission of available small data in the inactive state using periodic radio resources that are usable for transmission of small data without a prior scheduling request from the UE, the periodic radio resources being allocated in advance by a serving base station. On the other hand, the first data volume threshold is not to be used for determining whether to perform a random-access-based transmission of available small data in the inactive state.

Abstract: In a base station (100), a controller (101) determines one set from among a plurality of sets, each of which including one or more candidates for a resource for an uplink (UL) control channel during initial access, and determines one candidate from among the one or more candidates for the resource, which is included in the determined set. A transmitter (114) indicates the determined set to a terminal (200) by higher layer signaling, and indicates the determined candidate by dynamic signaling. Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method of setting reserved subframes for indication of a resource pool by a bitmap, a user equipment, and a base station. In the present disclosure, the resource pool is used for transmitting or receiving sidelink signals within a system frame number cycle that includes predefined subframes and remaining subframes that are subframes after excluding the predefined subframes within the system frame number cycle. In the method, a number of the reserved subframes is determined so that the bitmap is repeated by integer times within the subframes after excluding the reserved subframes and the predefined subframes within the system frame number cycle. In the method, position of each of the reserved subframes is set, wherein at most two reserved subframes are set per n subframes within the system frame number cycle.
